      Yes the action can be adjusted if need be - but the guitars are checked and given a general set up before shipping. I would call the action "standard". Cheers

    I can't speak for the Washburn, but I can tell you that the Les Paul Specail II feels like a cheap toy. It's perfect for someone who has never played a chord in their life, but if you've already been played a little, and want a beginner guitar for yourself, go for the Les Paul 100. It looks a tiny bit better, gives you a pickup selector, and just feels a little bit more serious. It still feels cheap though, I have to admit, but it sure beats the LP Special II.
