I purchased this model from JB Hi-Fi for $79.00 + $4.95 delivery during their after Christmas sale.
However JB are now selling it for $99.00
This Officeworks deal is pretty good considering that delivery is free so it gets a positive vote from me.
Might be free delivery for you but i'm getting charged a $25.95 delivery fee from Officeworks to post code 4701. Negative vote from me on that matter since that's a rip off. The Good Guys only wants a $2 delivery fee.
I agree that a $25.95 delivery fee on such a small item is a disgrace.
Officeworks definitely need to look at their delivery rates for customers that live in areas they deem to be regional.
Was expecting $79 or even lower price, the flood in Thailand has been a history.
Yeah but HDD manufacturers are playing their tiny violins for all it's worth and now that we only have 3 manufacturers left, it's not like there's much incentive to placate the consumer.
If you don't need USB 3.0, i.e. only USB 2.0, then there is the 3TB WD Elements from MSY at $99 + delivery
I got a 3TB Toshiba USB 3.0 at Officeworks this week for $129
The Auspost store I was in yesterday had these for $88 along with 16GB USB sticks on special.
Cloisters in Perth City.are you sure on that price?. This clearly shows $89

That AusPost link is now dead
$88 including 16GB USB? Or am I reading it wrong.
I bought this 2 years ago for $79 each. Its internal hard drive has chirping noise issue (can be found all over the net, the model of the drive it ST2000DM001)
I bought 3-4 drives and cracked them open and used as internal drives. After 2 years, only 1 started to have chirping noise issue and failed sometimes. Warranty period is still there but I cracked case open so it was voided. Updated to latest firmware won't solve the issue.
Up to $95 today.
Now up to $97
Up to $105 at Good Guys - http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/buyonline/Seagate_2TB_Expansio… - was $89
Back to $95 at Good Guys. This creates a price match opportunity at OW where it is $97
lol
