Anyone tried either the chardonnay or the merlot?
I bought the Merlot but it's way too young to say if it's palatable or not. I can tell you that they work pretty well in a bolognese sauce.
Mine are still on the floor in the garage… I mean being kept in a temperature and humidity controlled environment :P
Yes! Bought 2 sixies of Chardonnay last time for $24 and my wife and I have had a bottle for the last two nights. Nothing fancy or complex BUT very easy to drink and definitely not tart, woody, vinegary or sickly sweet so yeah I recommend it for sure and have just dropped on another couple of batches, this time half Merlot… still with Free Shipping via the code above too.
Great for everyday & BBQs or Party type occasions (SO much better than reaching for the softdrink!) but not what you'd serve at a fancy dinner party to impress :) Think of it more as goon in a bottle but just that little bit better flavour IMO.
Nothing spectacular of course, but certainly drinkable.
bought the merlot and dont think it's too bad, had it with pasta the other night.
Feeling totally ripped off paying $12 for these :P

As I said in the other thread, for this price all it needs to be is drinkable, and both the red and white are. Nothing special by any means, but great value. I've tasted worse $10 bottles of wine
I had a taste of both at the Bris Airport store. The Chardonnay is OK, quite easy to drink and a bit fruity for a Chardonnay. The Cab Merlot is very bland, but I wonder if it might develop better flabour with time?
At what point in the checkout do the prices change? I got all the way to the card details page and they were still at $14.24 per case.

This was an awesome deal. Picked up a heap of Marlborough Sav Blancs for $3.36/bottle. I think Dan stuffed up. They reduced by 25% twice.
eg 1 bottle original price $5.99 less 25% = $4.49
$4.49 less 25% = $3.36
Probably why it expired so soon.

Interesting, just received a call from Dan Murphy's advising I had underpaid for my order of 4 bottles and received 50% off. I clarified I only ordered 4 bottles and didn't receive the 25% off to which he corrected and said in that case I didn't receive 50% off but just the 25% off. The underpayment was only $9 so I said whatever, just charge my card but surprised they didn't wear it. Expect a call possibly guys.
