Dick Smith claim the usual price is $129
Dick Smith actually claim that it WAS $129
and they were selling it for $129

It does not appear that they are advertising this as a sale price, it's just highlighting the fact that the price has now been reduced.
Fair point, but it's not much of a bargain because of a price drop at all retailers.
but it's not much of a bargain because of a price drop at all retailers.
true, it appears to be the normal price now…
Telstra advertising it in-store as "save $30", so not necessarily a permanent price drop…
Its $99 everywhere, picked up one from OW yesterday.
picked up one from OW yesterday.
I hope you paid for it…
No of course jv. You still in virtual GC and not pushed into water yet ?
Did you get 5GB of data upon activation? OW website claims 3GB, Dick Smith makes no mention of included data, but Telstra's site states 5GB.
Yes. SHOULD be like that no matter where you get it.
How about the others which are only 29-39, cheap?
cheap?
You tell us… you posted this as a bargain…
Locked to Telstra, no?
Telstra wanted $100 to unlock a $14.83 device, so I returned it :-P
Is this a good one ? Any review ? I got the Netgear version (https://www.telstra.com.au/online-shop/mobile-broadband-prod…) and it sucks !!
We cleaned-out a K-Mart's stock of MF60's - $29.00 each -
…each including 5 GB, per K-Mart staff & verified verbally by nearby [non-franchised] Telstra shop).
However, nowhere did it show/state the 5 GB data inclusion!
TIO needs to hear about & -change- vendors' behaviour, when they don't give any -written- documentation of included data for these slippery harware products, IMO.
At least -one- of Dick Smith's "deal" dongles did -not- show any included data spec.
In Kmart's catalog, it states 1GB data included. Only very old stock of MF60 came with 5GB data, then 2G, then 1GB. So almost all MF60 selling now is a 1GB data version.
I purchased one of these from Target on the 26th December. The 5GB was automatically allocated upon activation.
As an aside, since this group seems to be on top of this stuff…
is there any way to get a non-Telstra pocket wi-fi to work with a contracted Bigpond SIM? SIM works in the original dongle, but not the non/unlocked Huawei wi-fi (tho it sees the signal fine)>..
Sorry for the tiny hijack~
Ta
4G is great if you camp in city parks.
I'd rather buy anywhere other than ds.
Dick Smith claim the usual price is $129, but that's not true anymore. Telstra's site shows $99 is the real new price : http://www.telstra.com.au/broadband/mobile-broadband/prepaid…
