To be honest i would rather use coconut oil and bicarbonate soda as tooth paste but i am too lazy to mix them.
I use to think these thing is a bargain, but i got one and they are not that good. I do a better job squeezing out tooth paste by hand or just use 2 chopstick and 2 rubber band.

easiest way is to hold the tube against the sharp corner of a wall (or cabinet) and pull from one end to the end with the paste-hole. All the stray bits of paste will collect at the top.
