Probably better off with a $279 K-Mart deal. Basic bundle with Wiimote Plus, Sensor Bar, Just Dance and Nintendoland. Rayman costs $28, Wii Music is a crap original Wii game, Mario and Luigi U are very very similar (Luigi U is just a standalone Mario U DLC after all) So if you wanted Rayman and Mario U you could probably pick them up for $80 - $90 and have a good bundle standing you to $370 that includes a Wiimote.

Yes but most are after the premium bundle for 3 reasons, the basic bundle is being discontinued across the world, the wii u premium is black and the wii u premium has much more storage for future games you download from the console. Also this premium comes with wii u headset

        • From what I've read Nintendo aren't happy with sales and think they are confusing consumers with 2 different consoles so talk is they will ditch the basic and just keep the premium. Makes sense really, the basic is ugly, crap storage and crap bundles
But I do have to say I have heard nothing about a discontinued console yet here in Aus but we are sheep and follow hehe

I actually think the basic looks better. Each to their own. I was hoping to see a white premium like Japan got a few months back (from memory).

        • I would of preferred my bundle come in white , rather than black too

Reason a) nothing but an unfounded rumour, another is that Nintendo have given up on the WiiU. Just pure BS.

Reason b) Black, white, whatever it's a Wii U and still plays the same games. Is it worth the extra $$ for a colour? Also as Frank said you simply plug in any USB device (I have a couple of spare USB drives I no longer use (2 x 32GB) plugged in the back USB ports. This still leaves me with 2 spare ports on the front.

Reason c) You can use any headset with a 3.5mm plug, its nothing special at all and the Wii gamepad already has a mic built in to it.

        • Lol well we all know Nintendo won't discontinue the Wii u premium, Especially since sales have picked up since they added new bundles to premium consoles.

Why downvote this, people? This man is 100% correct. The 8GB basic is good enough, especially the bundle at Kmart (But I mean, Just Dance? Well, trading it in at EB puts the price down by 13 dollars lol), because with the wiiU basic you can put any external hard drive into the USB ports in the back to expand the total GB limit. And since the K-Mart bundle includes Nintendoland, there's no longer a deal breaker between the basic and the premium.

What they really need is a Pikmin bundle for less than 300. I'd be on that instantly…. If I didn't already buy the Kmart one. Which I did.

      • Nah a Mario kart bundle:) Now that would get me in store

  • Agree; if you want a Wii U, K-Mart's Basic bundle is the one to get.

    Everybody loves Raymond.

    • Rayman'd?

    • Can u tell I watch the show lol

    • Still happily playing Rayman Oranges…

      • On your phone Marty? :P

  • 5 games… well 1 already comes with it. One is a crappy old Wii game. Love your work EB.

    • Yeah they aren't they best but I thought people would at least like to know they have added a couple of things to the deal but lol obviously I was wrong:(

  • out of curiosity can you layby the wii u at KMART? cant seem to find anything about it online.

  • 'much specials'. this doge thing has just gone too far.
