Best price currently available for this remake of the Atari 2600. This one comes with games but also takes cartridges from the original Atari 2600. Great write-up on the previously-posted deal here:

Thanks, I'd much rather pay an extra $20 to support an Aussie business. Purchased Talisman 5 from them and very happy with the purchasing and delivery process!
These can just be powered from a USB power source.
I have mine set up in my media room and a bit awkward to check the jungle of wiring in there without moving things around and hanging upside down over the back of cabinets but 99.9% sure there was no traditional plug even provided.
nope, this is USB powered - no power plug/adaptor supplied - so need to provide your own power source.
I found it didnt work if i used a usb c to usb c fast charge cable, needed to use older usb a to usb c cable/psu.
Thanks! $101.99 for Prime members who get 10% off with code PRIMESAVE010.
Amazon's Australian version is still $129.95. Nice saving, but I think this will go lower.
Games on sale?
California Games 👌
Hacky sack!
Midnight magic
These consoles are fun, bringing back childhood memories, but they sux after 30mins.
Lesson learned from the SNES Mini.I agree. Fun to think back on, but when you try to get into it again it's usually a disappointment and doesn't quiet recreate that feeling you had in your own head after that initial dopamine hit.
IMO, when it comes to retro gaming, form factor matters a lot.
I've had DuckStation (PS1) installed on my gaming PC (connected to my TV) for years now, and basically never open it, instead gravitating towards PS2/GameCube and anything newer, which upscale to 4K nicely. But then I bought an RG35XX Plus soon after they released, and I've spent more hours on that (PS1 & PortMaster mainly) than I ever did my Switch, so much so, I recently sold the Switch cause it was just gathering dust.
I couldn't tell you why, but for me, PS1 and earlier are just "more fun" on a 3.5" screen than my TV. It's like they're made for that sort of device.
i will agree with you.
i find in this world of constant entertainment
i can't simply focus on an old psx game
but will happily sit and play it while having a movie on the tviv got an rg35xx.
a ps2 game will require more attention tho.
also on the 3.5" screen, there is no need for scaling, due to being so small it looks good already
@vanyellow: Agreed. Also, I think my favourite thing is just how "pick up and play" it can be.
I'm using MUOS on it, and I've setup auto save states in Retroarch. I can shut it down completely (not standby), then when I turn it back on, it only takes 15 seconds to boot up, automatically resume from save state, and be playing again.
It makes it so easy to play for even a few minutes at a time, then shut it down again, never wasting battery or my time. I love it.
Human memory and it's association mechanism with senses included, often can not be recreated cause it's a first experience like moment.
Memory is fickle too in that we think we remem something like we did but we don't have all the details to how it actually happened.
Fun to think back on, but when you try to get into it again it's usually a disappointment and doesn't quiet recreate that feeling you had in your own head
It's because you're playing on a modern LCD tv. It looks very different to what you remember because it is different. No matter what filters or shaders the emulators use, it just can't recreate a CRT TV.
Playing the old consoles on a CRT TV actually does give you the feeling you seek.
I disagree, I have plenty of CRT's and original consoles, it doesn't do it either. I think its something else, that Nostalgia for something that was for a time perhaps, an innocence you miss, though I'm not sure. I am enjoying playing the occasional game on a retro handheld, but it isn't like it was. I more enjoy playing retro games I didn't play or even know of as a kid. This year I finished a few old games, Eye of the Beholder springs to mind as one such enjoyable experience, but I played that shortly after watching the D&D movie.
Easy to to hack the SNES and NES mini and put every game on them, i regularly replay classics like a Link to the Past, Mario Kart, Mario 1-4
I think putting every game on there is a bit of a mistake, my view. Best to grab a few games of the genre's you want to play, or maybe that is me with choice paralysis.
They're not great on modern TVs, if you've got a crt then they'll look much better and you'll end up being that kid again playing it like your life depended on it.
Of course they suck, gaming has moved on so much and you aren't a kid no more.
Needs Spider Fighter or RiverRaid.
I paid less in 1990 😁
7800 plus is better and will drop in price
You’ll likely also need a power plug converter to change the UK plug to an AU plug
Still $128 incl shipping from Gamesmen on eBay for AU stock
