Set aside some time for this game, it takes a while to get comfy with it. I tried when I didn't have a huge amount of free time and I'm still getting to grips with it. Fun though, plenty of active servers, and mostly friendly players. Just be sure to have a headset or something and at the very least listen to what your team mates are telling you to do, this game is so heavily reliant on working together.

Save a further 1c on the deluxe edition by buying the base game and upgrade separately :D

  • Just checked out a review online and this does look interesting. For $2.49… damn why not.

    • Bought. Had to do it. Looks too interesting to pass up on.

  • For $2.49 I can't afford to NOT get NS2.

I've been playing the Natural Selection games for over 10 years. So far I've logged about 600 hours into Natural Selection 2 and I highly recommend it. As mentioned by Alzori, there's quite a big learning curve but once you know what you're doing you won't be able to stop……trust me :)

    • Miss the 1.04 lerk :[

  • This is an amazing unique game.

The only downside is games can often be one sided, especially late at night, thats mostly why I've stopped playing for a while hoping the devs figure out a way to make games more even.

  • $2.50 is insane for the qaulity of the game.

    Highly recommended.

  • its cheap but there isnt any one on the servers though

Hopefully that changes after the sale.

  • Teamwork is a monumental part of this game. One bad player can easily be the difference between winning and losing. Games can also last for quite a while when teams are evenly matched. The commander aspect is also a fun take on leadership gameplay.

    • Much like other games I currently play. One person constantly dying in Dota 2 can result in a very short game :) Downloading this baby now and will be testing it out tonight. I guess we'll see a lot of new players with this special.

  • Had my eye on this game since it came out and $2.49's a bit too hard to pass up. Thanks :)

  • so easily worth it

best community of any game ive played, most are friendly

easy to find a game in Melbourne, though i wish they had a better server browser with better queuing

  • Awesome game! FPS cross RTS with base maintaining.
Best of all no need to unlock anything or upgrade xp.
Reminds of me CS casual gaming times

  • 8.5 user rating on metacritic, you must be nuts not to try it

Unfortunately the Humble Bundle has just trumped this price, I got it late last year for $8.30 and for the hours of entertainment I've had I still think it's cheap as chips.

If you're playing look out for me (I play by the name G - Perfect) and I'd be happy to show you the ropes :)

  • Yep, $1 on humble bundle.
