Toner is about $40. Not too bad. Genuine stuff is eye wateringly expensive though!

thanks for the tip! will check that out when I am running low.

  • 1000 pages rating for 'starter' toner carts.

Then $89 for 1400 pages for genuine toner suggests 6.3c/page….before you have to replace other consumables, i.e. drum/recycling unit.

But if the $40 for 4 non-genuine carts is realistic, that's 0.7c/page which is pretty good.

    • Our b/w Fuji came with full toner carts. Got a 2x size refill off ebay very cheap and works fine.
Very impressed with the printer BTW.

    • (which one?)

      color rating is 700 pages

cheap yes, but really frustrating, if one of the colour toners runs out you can't even continue printing in black and white until the empty toner is replaced!

    • +1

That's the same case with almost all printers nowadays. You can't really fault this one for being the same way.

      • Wher [else] is it written, that I can't…?

I expect new stuff to be competitive… eg, improved… not just cheap & [still] inflexible, in such cases.

You could buy a bargain-priced B&W laser printer as a "hot spare", to use until you can get the replacement carts. Printers are cheaper than toner sometimes!.

    Fuji zero might be Xerox!

    • whirlcode blip?

    • ha ha updated.

  • Never tried a laser colour printer. Tempting…

  • Limited stock in WA, reserved one for pick up tomorrow. Thanks OP.

  • Fuji Xerox Printers are terrible.. always fail… Pass!

  • got one of these - failed to install correctly straight from USB for either windows 7 or windows 8. I was mucking around for over an hour including downloading drivers from Fuji Xerox website etc and still didn't get it to install properly. From checking the support sites, seems this is a known problem. Very disappointed, and will be returning to Office Works who really shouldn't be in the business of selling aggrevation. As so often seems to be case, this 'clearance' computer gear is probably just crap that they couldn't sell.
