      • found the price that msy normally has it at, its $578, added to description

    • staticice.com.au

      WAKE UP!

  • Great deal!

  • Officeworks price match ???? Then its super deal.:-)
    Also msy best price too.

Officeworks already offering it at $478. I am guessing same Acer Cashback can be used.

    • It's s different product. Check the link.

  • If you can deal with the unstable wifi like most have with this product then go for it. Acer seem to have known about the problem for a long time but they aren't fixing it.

    • Yes - seems to be a known issue with the WIFI. Acer then dumps the product at low price so their wifi issue can become your wifi issue.

Two problems with this, Acer never pay their cash backs and Acer make horrible laptops.

They do. It took 11 weeks but I did eventually get my cash back card.

      • is that card usable only on Acer products or you can use it anywhere Where efpose is accepted?

        • its an eftpos card, usable anywhere

        • Thanks. it seems like that some guys are disappointed reg. the receipt and usage of this card in Whirlpool: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1690533

2 and a half years old. As previously mentioned they are usually pretty good. Gotta send off the docs within 14 days of invoice, and then they take a rediculous amount of time to send you the card. 1-4 months.

        • Well…I might buy one for someone as I was keeping an eye on this for a long time. MSY did the same promo. previously but i was confused with the cash back hassle. it would have been better for me if it was around $420 or something without the hassle of cash back.

yeah, I know Acer might not be a good choice but what I can say is like "getting what we pay for"…big touch screen(they also have smaller 14" too), core i3 processor, 4GB RAM not 2GB, optical drive, HDMI, USB 3.0..not bad..sounds a decent package for the price.

          Lets see…ha ha..

        • If the wifi was stable I'd have nothing to complain about with it!

  • Can any resellers with an ABN sell this and their customers still claim the cashback, or is the cashback only claimable if the laptop is sold from an "Acer Authorised reseller" if such a thing exists?

  • I have a mate who works repairing laptops and he says that Acer Aspires are among the highest received. Not sure if it was the V5s though.

    • I worked with Acer warehouse 10 years ago, those staff are very rough when they unpack stuff from the pallet. They can throw the box to the floor from the top pallet. For 36 unit laptop that we need to setup in very small space , so many incident where the laptop fallen to the floor.
