Click on the link it will take you there
How is this phone compare to Samsung I900 Omnia? As I owned many samsung phone but never own LG before.
I am also comparing these two phones, see below

Considering 3 still have this on the $69 cap, its a +ve from me!
Good deal
the omnia is soooo laggy but this fone looks awesome, i watched the video if the phone review and it didnt look laggy. but there are some off putting reviews though, "ALL I CAN SAY GUYS/GIRLS WAIT AFTER 1 MONTH THEN REVIEW THIS PHONE BY THEN U WOULD BE ALREADY IN THE LINE OF UR LOCAL SHOP RETURNING THIS GARBAGE"
http://www.gsmarena.com/lg_kc910_renoir-reviews-2495.php
from my gist of the reviews there, it seems to be that if you've never used the omnia or a WinCE/WinMob/Smartphone, a nokia or a sonyericcson, a phone with the later versions of symbian, or an iPhone, etc.
or expect things to work in a camera phone you get for free for signing up on a contract, well, you might be disappointed. it's a great phone for $0 on a $29 plan. but there seems to be better phones out there if you were going to spend the money. hence the deal.
a mothers day phone-deal perhaps ??
lol, this is very good phone instead. You can check review on cnet. I think I will sign this one. Thanks for posting.
oh, and a major difference between this one and the omnia is that the omnia uses Windows mobile OS. So if you want a smart phone, get the omnia. The rest is pretty much the same.
1 question, I know that virgin belongs to optus. Does virgin use optus network as well. I'm currently with 3 and its coverage is quite below average.
yes … virgin uses the optus network.
i just bought Samsung F480 from 3 last Thur nite….too late to change now.
sigh…
I went into AllPhones and bought this yesterday :) Nice to be able to pick it up straight away.
Pretty good phone compared to what else you can get on the $29 plan, but it's not an iPhone killer IMO (mostly due to the lack of Apps, not features).
Still, I'm happy with it - although I am keen to get a 3rd party GPS Mapping application working on it since it doesn't come with anything but GoogleMaps which needs internet access…
Hi Kojack, I want to buy this phone but really want GPS on it and I can't find any info on it. Others such as the Omnia seem to be pretty straight forward. Can you let me know how you go with yours.
Cheers.
Chloden.it doesn't have symbian or WinMobile. so, it won't run 3rd party GPS apps, or offer nokia navigation features.
instead, it has google maps. like the iphone. but imaginably slower.
Thanks toliman. I think I will get it anyway because I think for the price it seems a good deal.
is this phone locked to virgin (optus network)?
can anyone confirm?
I know that vodafone and 3 will unlock their mobile for free if you sign up on 24month contract, but unsure about virgin.thanks
When I asked Virgin they said it was inlocked and any sim could be used.
Had a friend order this on Saturday - and it was delivered today.
It is unlocked and he is using a telstra sim card it.
Like this deal….awesome!!
Just wondering where did you see this price as it's still show on the virgin's website $8/mnth on a Your Cap 45
