Good price - these things are being sold at JB at the outrageous price of $578. The Amazon price is $US 400 so $500 is reasonable.

I have a dumb question: one of the things that has stifled me from getting a tablet is the fact that they (as far as I know) don't take those wireless USB modems. Will this ASUS model do so?
Alternatively, please do tell me if there are any tablets that can make use of these modem dongles :-)
some Chinese tabs do take specific USB modems.. this one definitely will, in the keyboard dock.
Just think this is a Windows 8 laptop, so it will take USB modem as far as they have WIN8 drivers.

Only issue I have with this model is it's still using only a HD capable monitor (and 2Gb RAM). On all my future mobile devices I expect at least 1080p, and for Windows a minimum of 4Gb RAM.
If you checked this thread http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=2154650 you will know this new Intel Bay Trail CPU and Windows 8 did a very good job with 2GB ram and even can play 3D games.

Yes if you use it as a real laptop like others but for a tablet should be OK.

Pretty sure that H100 model is the Clover Trail Atom, which is far inferior to the Bay Trail in the T100
