  Agreed with other posters: absolutely steer clear of Godaddy, their order process is plagued with upsells on almost every page which most people don't need although they try to assure you that you do need it (basically playing on people's ignorance to rip people off) and their support is just terrible.

  If you need shared hosting (IE. for a small website) and you need support I'd suggest Hostgator - if you don't need support there are other cheaper options that you probably already know about.

  If you need domains I'd suggest Namecheap or InternetBS (same low price always and permanent free private WHOIS - cheaper than Namecheap overall although sometimes not on the first payment depending on coupons etc).
