    • PSU specs here
      http://www.aerocool.com.tw/chassis/pgs/pgs-v/784.html
      near the bottom.
28A on the 12V is more than enough to run this, could even support a low-end GPU.
Brand is always questionable, but for an office/internet pc this should be fine.

    • Hey WorkAround - how do you choose a mobo?
Building a comp in 3 weeks time, would try to PM you but seems you don't have that option haha

Post your build in the Desktop forums on Whirlpool, they'll be able to critique it for you and see if any improvements can be made in regards to performance/value for money. :P

But when you're looking for a motherboard, you want to consider what features you need in regards to expansion and overclocking. Mostly comes down to whether you want to overclock, run more than one graphics cards/any other cards and how many SATA/USB ports you need (that's my check list anyway, but I don't dabble in anything enthusiast/extreme). Definitely get feedback on Whirlpool for your build though, could save you from a major headache if there are some things you're not too sure about.

  • But remember if DOA you have to return at your cost thus negating any savings you may make.

    • yeah unfortunate for me the GPU was DOA, refunded but cost $25, luckily wasnt the entire pc.

It shouldn't be that much unless you're in quite a rural area. Postcode?

        1. Coffs harbour
      • Is there another option available other than the expensive courier. Post code is 2450.

  • Front USB 3.0 ports?

    • 1x3.0 and 1x2.0
I really think a person should consider getting a case with 2 x 3.0. It's more futureproof if you're planning to use this system for several years.

      • Thanks

At least there is one - a lot of these cheap deals have cases with no front USB 3.0 at all which is basically obsolete…

  • Anyone reckon it I whack my gigabyte gtx 670 into this budget machine would it still handle bf4 at ultra settings on a 1080p 120hz monitor?

    • +5

I would question the PSU's ability to handle such cards.

If you wish to run a GTX670 in this machine, an Upgrade to the PSU is necessary.

      • How much for a PSU upgrade? I want to throw a 7970 in.

        • What would you like to upgrade to?

I don't know, maybe a 500W? Can any OzBargainer help me by suggesting a quality PSU?

        • +1

Corsair CX-500 springs to mind as a suitable budget option.

        • Thanks mate. Rep, any chance of this?

    • not with a single gtx 670

    • need at least 550w PSU
