I dunno what's going on with the prices of TVs at the moment, I'm looking for another Smart 3D TV of a similar style and can't get one anywhere near the $698 I paid almost a year ago so yeah, this TV isn't bad, I was just being an ass and playing on your "no 3D" "no smart" thing ;)
let me know when you do lol
I've been scouring also
you got one hell of a deal last year ;)
Probably upping the prices ready to make some 'price reduction' offers for Christmas….
But the only problem is it's pickup only - and its a bit far for me…
Nice price for full hd - best I could negotiate last weekend around the stores was about $760 so I went a different option.
Nice looking set though, and full hd I think is a plus over the 4500 model.
speaking of the 4500 model
DSE have that on special and it only 20 difference

on special no less
does make this offer look better =)
Scored middle of the pack in the latest Choice review, though it was up against more expensive TVs ranging from $1430-$5999 (at its $1099 RRP, this model LG was the cheapest in the test), so not a bad showing.
Energy consumption is on the high side, significant enough to factor in and consider the TCO if you're a heavy user.
I recommend the Samsung full HD Plasma PS51F5000 over this. My sister got it for $720 at JB a few months ago. Could probably get for a similar price today.
I prefer Plasma to LED, and Samsung are generally better than LG for picture quality for this Plasma. Although, neither would rival a Panasonic plasma, but they're too pricey.
no cheap
I bought a 3D, Smart, 600HZ, 50" LG PM6700 from Bing Lee last December for $698
