    Actually you all need to get your facts right. The Cortex A7 is the low power low cost alternative to the high end A15 stuff. Performance wise the quad core Mediatek cpu is on par clock for clock with a Tegra 3 chip (not even comparable to the 3gs). Search the net for benchmarks for the turbo 1.5 ghz chip and you will find the numbers are very much the same.

      ^ on top of that this chipset even beats the mainstream budget chipset produced by Qualcomm, the MSM8225Q as found in the Huawei Ascend G520/525. Both the GPU (Adreno 205 vs SGX544) and CPU (Cortex A5 vs A7) are better in the Mediatek chipset. The main flaws that are present in almost all mediatek phones are that the GPS sucks and to save money they often don't include a compass. So don't get Mediatek based phones if you want to use navigation often.
