    The particular brands of olive oil that are questionable (rancid/not olive oil/etc) include :-

    · Bertolli
    · Bionature
    · Carbonell
    · Colavita
    · Fresh
    · Isabella
    · La Espanola
    · Lupi
    · ** Moro **
    · Paese Mio
    · Vetta

    According to The Advertiser, the best few brands included Coles Extra Virgin Olive Oil (the variety sourced from Australia, not overseas) and the Woolworths Extra Virgin Olive Oil ( the variety sourced from Australia, not overseas)

    I read another article that said Italy was importing low quality oils from other countries (eg. Spain etc) in such significant quantities that someone tweaked "where's all of that low grade oil going?" The answer is Australia, UK, etc.

    Choice also did an expose on rancid and fake oils. If you value your health, choose your oil brands carefully.

      I've never heard any of this stuff before, but, FWIW, I have a bottle each of Woolies Select and Vetta extra virgin olive oils in my cupboard. I found the Woolies to be odd tasting and the Vetta to be far more preferable. I would probably say the Cobram Estate brand is my fave though.

    I don't where you got the Beef BBQ Round Steak @ $7.49/kg from, but Coles knew nothing about it. No mention in their online catalogue either. (Although there were a couple of pages that came up blank, even so, there was nothing in the meat section of the catalogue.)
