I read the entire listing and still have no idea what the course is about.

    • Agile is a certain software development process/methodology — at least I think it is.

      • yes it is - it's supposed to be a more "efficient/responsive" way of developing software. Agile is the concept and Scrum is an actual implementation/manifestation of the Agile principles.

    • That's ok if you dont know what it is, this is mainly for IT folks :)

  • Signed up. Thanks!

  • What does Lean have to do with Agile?

I thought it was always Agile & Waterfall, with scrum on the side.

    Looks interesting nevertheless.

I always put Lean and Six Sigma together, but hey. If they have found a way to use it in Agile. I'll take a look.

  • Caveat Emptor:
I signed up for their last short course .. gave up after the first lecture was aimed at people who'd never heard of Agile before, and they stopped every 10 minutes to answer questions about whether participants would get a certificate on paper or via email or whether there was a final exam and if it was free and .. well .. nothing about the subject matter.

    • Yeah, just like most MOOCs the first lecture tends to be administrative cruft that's best downloaded and played back at 1.75-2.0x speed. When using YouTube, HTML5 playback is good for fast replay, but Flash player sucks. Second lectures tend to slowly ease into the subject. It's not usually until you get to the third lecture that you get a good feel for the course. Of course in a 6 or 7 week course, that's about half way through.
