It has similar specs to the iPad 4 - same resolution and graphics chip, more RAM, more cores (if that matters), smaller battery. Looks to be about $350 delivered.Runs Android, the new Ubuntu Touch, and regular Linux.
It's a kickstarter type campaign. Everyone should order one so I can get mine! :-D
Looks like they may not even reach the goal, currently $45,952 of $349,000 needed with 7 days to go. And then there's the name. Kickstarter has some great projects, i dont think this is one of them.
What's the point of all that power if there is no apps?
It runs Android - which obviously has a lot of apps.
I'm not sure about apps if the user choosees to run it in standard Linux mode. They showed a video of them running GIMP, LibreOffice, and I know tuxracer has ARM support. I suspect a lot of Linux applications work on ARM processors. Whether they work well with a touch screen is another question :-P
The videos around of Ubuntu Touch looks pretty cool but I haven't used it.

Recently bought my ipad4 16gb wifi for $397 from office works. That was 2 weekends ago. They might put it back on sale later.
The website was down (as far as ordering 16GB ipad 4 wifi goes) this morning but I managed to order this afternoon. Should arrive in store (Braddon, ACT) by the 16th they say.
