  Coles had Jack Link's Jerky 50g packs for $2 last week, so 8 packs (400g) would have cost $16, a lot cheaper than this. Not sure if Geronimo or Jack Link's is better but this does not grab me as a bargain…..

    Jack Link's is crap compared to Geronimos, but I find Geronimo's way too hard and it could crack your molars over time…

    Also, Jack Link's has MSG, this doesn't…

      This has soy sauce, which contains MSG.

      The consequences of MSG as purported by the media are incorrect anyway… Italian food has ultra high concentrations of MSG due to uses of ingredients such as tomato paste, mushrooms and Parmesan cheese

        It makes me nauseas within a minute of eating some…
        Tomatoes don't affect me, but I've tried a few different jerkies, and the ones with MSG make me feel like throwing up.

        "A small number of people may experience a mild hypersensitivity-type reaction to large amounts of MSG when eaten in a single meal. Reactions vary from person to person but may include headaches, numbness/tingling, flushing, muscle tightness, and general weakness. These reactions normally pass quickly and do not produce any long-lasting effects."

        An allergic reaction can also be attributed to other foods combined with MSG.
        For example if one is mildly allergic to soy products , then in a dish comprising soy and MSG, the MSG can exacerbate the allergic reaction to the former.

        Should do a checkup with a doctor to confirm whether it is MSG intolerance or a mild allergic reaction to ingredients which contain MSG (eg. soy sauce)

    Sounds like a solid deal from coles! Especially considering the price of Jerkey. Wish I had have known so I could of stocked up.

  This Jerky is delicious… Jack Link's Jerky tastes like rubber compared to this stuff. Personally Buckshot is my favorite!! I have even got my girlfriend eating this stuff (Which is a bad thing because I now have to buy twice as much).

  Rep: 2 x 200g will last me about a week.. Hows about a good deal for some 1kg bags ??
