thats a lot of work for a burrito…

Awesome - negging a free deal posted by another member purely because you dont feel it is for you (plenty of people would see the fun in it, people with senses of humor who are up for a laugh - Just look at karaoke bars every bloody night).

Sure, it isnt for you - but negging this sort of thing is only going to drive other people with creative bargains away - 'OzB is SO cheap that even free isnt good enough'.
Next it will be complaints that it takes too much time to eat. Neg them cos it takes too long to drive to.

Negative voting is supposed to HELP us - to warn people that something is shady or there is better prices elsewhere - this sort of hyper entitled negging is just going to drive deals away.

It's true. It's a lot of work for a burrito which means it isn't "FREE".

Negging this type of junk should be encouraged by OzBargain.

      • lol pipe down m8

I'll just grab the oversized guitars and ponchos I have lying around in my apartment.

    Nice food but …

I'm pretty sure the +ve's are from people not realizing you need to create a 5-minute mariachi song to get a free-burrito.

    That or idiots.

  • if you can lip sync the song, i'm all for it! otherwise, i like many people can't hold a note…

  • Dumbest deal ever, but not worth negging as it's still a deal.

I'm pretty sure learning and performing a 5 minute song is not worth a burrito

  • +15

It seems more like "entertain our paying customers for five minutes and we'll pay you with a free burrito"

  • if u continuously sing bad enuff for a minute, sing any random song, they you one so you can stop singing lol

Looks like they saw that Talk like a pirate day for donuts idea and took it a lightyear ahead.

Not a deal (or free since the burrito is in exchange for a 5 minute song)

Get a conga line going of 200 people doing random crap for 5 minutes and tell them 'They are all part of my band'…

Do the marketing people get themselves high before they dream up this crap? 'Oh maaaaaaaaan, do you think anyone out there is crazy enough to do THIS'… 'Yeah man, how about…'

do you have to play the music yourself? I mean you and your mariachi mates rock up , pull out a boombox, hit play and smoke cigarettes for 5 minutes.

The link to the image would seem to imply this is victorian stores only- is this something you neglected to mention (along with the rest of the complete lack of details)
To all the neggers - its a bit of fun - if some people want to do it to have some fun good on em - negging something just because it isnt for you is really against the spirit of things (and the rules to be frank). Pretty sure they arent going to time you or require outfits - the 5 min would be to stop people just doing 3 chords and saying FEED ME lol. Pity they arent doing a battle of the bad band - who can be the worst mariachi band in OZ!

  • Dammit, I have to watch "La Bamba" again? Sheesh….

  • Shitty deal. No store locations listed. Not going to bother wasting my time searching the web for them.

    • and leaving a negative and pointless comment isn't?

  • what a waste of time!

    1. Master the Spanish language.
    2. Find four other incredibly hungry but very musically-gifted individuals.
    3. ????
    4. FREE BURRITOS!
  • wtf, that's so elaborate.
especially when only last month they were giving away free burritos to anyone who asked for a membership card. (no purchase needed and you could ask for multiple cards and register multiple cards.)

  • What if you had like 20 people in the band though?
