Got this in the mail from iiBuy.
Pity shipping to WA is $ 30 but it might still be a good deal at $ 299 shipped

Micro server don't come with software ,
so if you don't know anything about setting up operating systems, I think this would be a good alternative
I bought and setup my HP server for myself and a mate, it is a bit of work to get it up and runnning

Depends how you want to configure it though. Now a days installing Ubuntu or Windows is pretty straight forward.
Only messing around I had to do with my 3 microservers was the damn sata cable up to the top dvd rom bay and flashing the bios and adding a stick of ram.
Hows the power consumption on the micro servers?
I guess the NAS device may consume less power than the Micro server?
I like this because it's set and forget and easily expandable - simply add another drive, no screws etc.
it was $199 couple of days ago with that taiwanese 50% off deal
seems to be a good price at $199, how this compare to the similar Netgear product?
I think it's much of a muchness…
I think there's little to choose between Netgear and Dlink, unlike upgrading to QNAP or Synology, but you pay for that.
D-Link - avoid.
Shopping E deal for the HP microserver was better.
