This is not bad. Not as fast as Nexus 4 (still fast enough) but come with 4G and SD card slot.
This is nowhere near as fast as the Nexus 4.
Half the ram, smaller and lower resolution screen, half the CPU cores at 300 Mhz and a lesser GPU.
why would you compare this with nexus 4…N4 is way better
You can get a 4G ZTE for $150 from Telstra :-P
LG Optimus F5 $149 - same MSM8930 chipset, same 4G LTE, same 1GB RAM, better screen, small size, lighter

Still waiting to see what impact the Nokia 1020 has one making 4G phones more affordable. As I wrote on a previous post, once the 1020 went on sale in the USA, the price of all the models below it plummeted. Saw a Nokia 520 unlocked, no contract on sale at the Microsoft Store in Arlington VA for US$99. Hoping for a sub-$200 820 or a sub-$250 920 soon.
Lumia 520 isn't 4G. In America, both LTE and HSPA+ is considered 4G, whilst in Australia HSPA+ is considered part of 3G (or sometimes called 3.5G).
The Lumia 520 has been around $140~ at Harvey Norman here, so if you add on tax and other expenses it really isn't that much more than America.
Probably not a bad saving given you don't get a Samsung Warranty.. but a Kogan Warranty
quite happy with my $299 nexus 4… nothing can beat it!!!
Bit of a shame with the 480 x 800 res. With 4G you'd expect to be doing a lot of browsing or streaming but without a 720p screen to enjoy the actual content.
It's the equivalent of having 100 mbit Telstra Ultimate Cable but watching sports on a 480p display.
It is bad if you compare it to nexus 4. I personally think 4g connection is not necessary yet and it uses too much power. It drains your battery too fast.
Nexus 4 is still in store for Australia, both 8gb and 16gb variants. If you need 4G though, this is the cheapest doorway to that technology (not including the HTC 8X).
