  • 46cm is aroudn 1.5 feet wide. If you are a broad person or have a wide stride, I would not recommend this.

If you're patient, I'd recommend bidding on one of these off Ebay. They are continuously auctioning off a bunch of them, and I was able to grab one for around $450 last year. I run about 10km on it every day, and I haven't had a problem with it.

It has 2.5 continuous horsepower, maximum speed of 22KM/H, 20 level incline, 102 preset programs and a wide mat at 54cm.

      ~$93 to ship to NSW

Average price is 650-700. Its alot more expensive

What is your average speed you use on it by the way?

Yeah…just had a look at some recent completed Ebay listings. It looks like they are now going for around $200 more now. When I bought mine last year, they were consistently going for less than $500, and I'm pretty sure that shipping wasn't that expensive either. I think I only paid around $500 all up.

        • What speed do you usually set it on, and do you think 46cm is wide enough for a person who is approx 180cm tall and 73kg?

        • I usually average around 13km/hr. I'm about the same height and weight as you.

I really couldn't tell you if 46cm is wide enough. This is pretty much the only treadmill I've ever used, so I'm not sure if that extra 8cm makes a massive difference. FWIW, I don't think I've ever gone close to hitting the side on this, so I don't think it would be a problem.

    • I won an auction in ebay for this machine:
http://www.lifespanfitness.com.au/Torque_2 for $550 plus shipping. Considering the specs of these two machines I would say that the Aldi one is expensive…

  • You need 3 people to carry this 84kg treadmill. Shame that Aldi doesn't offer home delivery service. Any private courier service do pickup and delivery under $50 in Sydney CBD?

    • They also wont help you carry it into the car. According to them it is a oh&s issue…even if you're heavily pregnant.

So make sure you have some friends to help

      • Imagine if you brought one which is faulty, it's going to cost you a lot more than $500. I think it's better buy online and get free courier pick up & delivery during the 12 months warranty period.

  • Dealdirect sometime they have free shipping or $2 shipping.

    • I've tried adding it in the cart to see, but shipping still shows

      • That is why I said sometime so not now.

As I remember they have $2 free shipping a few weeks ago.

        • "they have $2 free shipping a few weeks ago."

I've seen free shipping cheaper than that in the past.

        • Not 15% off treadmill when they had free shipping or $2 shipping as far as I know. Btw, 15% off is a lot better than free shipping with 0% discount.

    • That's a lot better than Aldi's one and the delivery cost is only $44.25. What a bargain!

  • Personally I think you'd burn more calories at an Aldi checkout.

    • What, standing around waiting?

      • He means you have to take the Treadmill to the counter to pay for it and take to home :p

  • Still cheaper then paying a gym membership just to use the treadmill
