Ozito Multi Function Tool at Bunnings Everywhere $29 (Was $75)

3470

Great price for a multi tool! Cut neat holes in plasterboard like a gentleman, instead of ripping it to shreds with a plasterboard saw.

Need to cut lots of pvc piping? Why waste energy with a hacksaw when you can use this? Save that energy to lift that beer at the end. Just make sure you leave it till the end - drinking and sawing don't go together.

Now that you've seen what happens to grouting when you don't wash your shower for months, use the grouting removal blade to hide your shame. Regain that lost confidence you so rightly deserve. You won't be embarrassed anymore when a friend comes over at night and uses your shower in the morning.

For some usage ideas, check out the video for The Renovator:

There's a pallet load right there.

As mentioned in the comments, there are two versions - one with 7 accessories, and one with 23 accessories. As you'd expect, the numbers are cheaply padded by counting the sanding pads individually. Nevertheless, more is better than less!

The 23-acessory box has a yellow sticker and also has the text "20+ accessories included" printed on the right side of the box. Photo here - http://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/9075/18012/ozito-mft.jp…

This is a photo of all the accessories that come with the 23-accessory version.:

And this is what comes with the 7-piece version, thanks to deal88:

        • That's a veery sloow settlement then..

  • Bought 2x at Rocklea (QLD) this morning. Oxley were sold out. There was very few left at Rocklea.

  • +1

    • Thanks, I was just about to set off there. Seems very little stock in Melbourne as at Sunday 5pm.

  • Loads left at Seven Hills Bunnings.

  • Plenty in browns plains. Heaps of new ones with 23 accessories

  • Brought one … don't know why, don't have a use for it.

    Plenty in burwood/boxhill

  • So does this come with blades that can cut metal without getting ruined within the first few seconds?

    • +1

aluminium is a metal. No problem. :)

      • Quick get your tinfoil hat on, oh wait, it can cut that too! :)

  • This is one of those things where if it doesn't work, you're only out $30 so why not. Should be Ozito's Marketing Slogan. I couldn't resist. No idea what I might use it for, but it's there if I need it. Stored next to the Ozito Jigsaw (never used) and a couple of GMC tools (rarely used but still going).

  • Thanks OP!
One pallet arrived at Churchill (SA) this morning.

  • VIC- None at Moorabbin or Oakleigh South - Picked up one earlier tonight at Box Hill thanks to an earlier poster. They had about 10-15 at about 7.30 tonight and still $29.

  • Genuine +1 for deal and especially for the description.

  • Did this deal also apply to Perth Bunnings stores?

    • +1

Someone mentioned the bunnings at Mandurah had the offer too, so I'm sure Perth would as well.

    • I bought one in Perth Innaloo on the weekend. There were quite a few left.

  • Are the coloured boxes, and the brown/black boxes all the same(as shown in the image)?

  • Anyone know if we can buy replacement blades if we need to have them replaced after 3 years warranty?
Links on ebay we can get replacement blades?

    • replacement accessories should be available from bunnings and probably online.

    • +2

      Bunning sells an accessory set:
      http://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/9075/18034/mft-parts.jp…

But … it's $24. You might as well get another tool for $5 more!

You can get individual pieces on ebay, just search for multi tool blade.

BTW the warranty wouldn't cover worn blades as they would be considered a consumable.

  • Bought one. Have a cordless one from a 909 combo but buying this for the accessories and just in case when more grunt is needed for the tasks.

  • +1

Guys good news, Just called up QLD Oxley and Rocklea stores and they are getting in another pallet today, so potentially other bunnings should be getting more stock at this price!

  • +5

$95 on ebay with 4 watchers..

    should've gone to specsavers OzBargain

  • Just bought one from Kent Town, SA. Plenty of stocks left.

  • Hey all, just two questions:

    a. Did anyone get a box with the instruction manual missing?
    b. Does the blade go in between the small black knob (0.7cm diameter) and the black washer thing (2cm diameter) ?
Coz when i unscrew it using the allen key, both the small and medium sized pieces come off. Is this normal?

    • +1

I got one that was clearly used and returned - see earlier comment.

Just check for wear on the blades - and the housing. Else, just return it.

The bolt comes out along with the retaining washer. When an attachment is installed, it will be tool > attachment > large retaining flat washer > hex head bolt.

It's actually not clear in the manual either.

  • heaps left at Carseldine QLD

  • Just picked up one from Bunnings Morley WA, probably 30-40 left between the sale pallet on the aisle as you walk in (above the twin blade ozito saw, which I also have and is definitely worth it..) and also in the tool store on the shelf

  • Heaps in Bullcreek store (WA). Picked another one up as pressie. Just have to ask/look around. They are kept in various spots, not just in the hardware/tool section.

  • Do all the WA Bunnings have the 23 accessories or 7 accessories?, my nearest store had all the 7 accessories boxes, i mainly want it for the tile grouter blade.

    • +1

The Morley store I got mine from had the 23 accessory boxes, I grabbed mine from the tool store shelf though, didn't look up close at the sale pallet.

  • +1

I bought a 23 acc box from Belmont (WA) store on Monday.
There was at least a dozen left, mainly 7 acc boxes though.
    Thanks OP.

  • the blades wore out from the first time i used it, pretty crap if you ask me, what happened to carbon steel?

    • What did you cut?

      • +1

        Carbon steel, maybe. :)

        • Doesn't matter if it's carbon steel. Matters how they harden it and the what process they take in making it.

  • Bunnings in Midland (WA) had heaps on the shelf. From what I could see, they all had the 'Now with 20+ accessories" sicker on them.

  • In terms of replacement attachments/sanding pads etc, can these these bought individually?
And given the current price of complete units, would it be cheaper to just buy another unit for the spare attachments?

    • Yup, then sell the main unit on gumtree as a cheap vibrator.

      • Now I'm wondering what your username means.

      • Your username.

  • I just got back from Bunnings at Mascot on Gardeners Road. They have loads in stock still.

  • Bankstown Airport Bunnings have a bucketload as well.

Unit is pretty solid and heavy.

  • None at Moorabbin but plenty still at Cheltenham

  • Question about warranty.

Did you guys get a Warranty card in the box, that you need to fill in and send back?

If the device fails say 2yrs after purchase, is it factory warranty, or return to Bunnings show receipt and get a replacement ?

    • Rock up to bunnings with the receipt and enjoy your new toy.

  • +1

Used this to cut through a sheet metal downpipe yesterday. Made a whole lot of noise with minimal cutting and has dulled/broke 2 teeth. Ended up using a hacksaw. Not impressed.

    • get bosch blades for cutting anything other than ripe tomatoes or the tops off your work shoes.

(they are compatible blades and the tool itself will be up to the job).

    • i think the twin blade saw would be better for that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTnMrW1dOEI

  • got the 23 accessory version
    thanks!

  • This should have been able t cut through thin sheet metal. A shame it struggled so much.

    Has anyone returned theirs?

    • I'm thinking about it. I had to cut a 250x120mm rectangle out of 16mm melamine. It was on struggle street.

      • 16mm mel… You could just about get a decent steak knife through it! I'd be saying no thanks!

  • Got one today for $29, I didn't need their combo special for $99 (+ circular saw)

    • Hmm, looks like the deal is still on then. Maybe they'll keep the price until stocks run out.

      • i think they are clearing them out. both the ozito multi tool and the ozito x2 saw have disappeared from the bunnings web site.

        • Price has now gone up at my store.

  • +2

gee, i just tried the ozito dual saw for the first time. i reckon it is pretty good. sliced straight through some steel pipe and sliced up some dead branches.
