HPs are so bad with overheating. Have owned 2 top of line HPs previously, all shut down when you try to game.

  it really depends on which models you got,my 2nd gen core i7 still beats all the games, even it was 3 years old now ;),of course there are somethings you should do to such as replacing hhd with ssd, put more RAM, clean the dust inside the laptop etc
