And obviously I know that, but it's an annoying mistake. I've seen some people who actually do think Windows Phones run Windows 8.

I don't want to argue but it's easy to assume.With the same logic, if you did know that this phone runs WP7 instead of WP8 you would have posted it before him,no? :)
Not only that but you also made an(annoying according to your logic) mistake: You wrote "Windows 8 = desktop operating system". That's partially wrong cause from the microsoft's Window 8 page you can read "Windows 8 tablets and PCs are fast, sleek, built for touch, and ready for action." ;)
Please don't buy this phone. I've used it for over 4 months and its terrible. Apps are very very slow to load and half of them are not even compatible due to less ram.
The only thing good about this phone is looks nd nothing else. Moreover, I bought it for $50 Telstra from ozbargain so definitely not worth it !!Someone reported that it's not locked….
Anyone else find this? I believe this ph is 850/900/2100 compatable so unlocked would make it a very versitile ph.
For one moment, I thought it was Nokia Lumia 620 !!
