Yes, very good price. Never seen before
I am in process of buying a dishwasher. Can you please provide feedback with your dishwasher models? Thanks
Check out productreview.com.au . I settled on German made Bosch, but do your homework. You won't get good feedback with a shotgun approach.
Miele, wait until they go on sale I have the base model it's fantastic!
Yes, Miele. My Miele is almost 10 years old has been running full load every second day, still good as new. It is a 'cutlery tray' model. It has a cutlery tray on top as a third shelf. So no cutlery basket on the bottom shelf, plenty of room to put big items, e.g casserole dish. The cutlery comes out a lot cleaner too. Unless you have very large dinner plates or very tall glasses, I strongly recommend the cutlery tray model.
I bought an LG years ago, which ranked high on the choice reviews, I also told the guy I'd pay retail as long as he would throw in the extended warranty. (His price was already the cheapest in the market place)
I had 2 dramas with it over the 3 years we used it, and the extended warranty covered them all.
I'm not sure if the current householder has had any dramas.
We have been using an ASKO for the last 5 years and apart from replacing a tray, no complaints.
I will look at choice and post what they recommend later on.
Bosch.
If used, google the model for any recalls.
I would avoid the dual drawer models, i've seen alot of them faulty on ebay when i was searching.
ASKO here as an option. Brilliant machine.
i have an ASKO - brilliant machine!
Thanks OP - had it on the list to buy tomorrow, will hold off until Wednesday!
Thanks, but your link takes me to this weeks catalogue
Just got the paper catalogue in the mail.
Couldn't find next weeks catalogue on line yet.
The link will update when the catalogue is available on line.
Still very expensive compared to powder, which is what the machines are designed for.
(BTW, avoid Finish powder - I think they deliberately make it bad so the tablets look better.)
Powder is cheapest and if used in right quantity with rinse aid works well.
but this a super cheap price for finish quantum, which is meant to be the best if you use tablets.
Our Bosch has an open tablet holder as well as a powder tray.
Here's a link to the online 14 August catalogue for NSW…

For other states, just change NSW to VIC, QLD, SA, WA, TAS or NT (note: some state catalogues may not be online yet).
For future catalogues, just change the date 2013/08/14 a few days before the next catalogue is due.
wow ! this is cruel mate !
Got any deals for some stubbies mate? Cheers.
Very good deal. I've been using the All In One grey import product from Cheap As Chips in SA ($18 per 100, or $20 per 100 at BigW). At 25c a tablet I'm willing to give Quantum a go even though All In One already cleans my dishes very well with no extra additives.
The good thing about the grey import products (mentioned above) destined for Sweden/Norway/Denmark is the much lower phosphorus content. Promotes less blue-green algae growth in our waterways while the official import is 30% phosphorus by weight.
Another problem with tablets compared to powder - with tablets you can't use a short wash, so not only do they cost more, they take more time and use more power.
About to walk down to Woolies and grab some. I'm guessing the Quantum are the best to get?
Fantastic special. We've not used the quantum ones, we just use all-in-one or max-in-one (both of which were also included in this special, at least in Perth) and we only use half a tablet. It works perfectly. I just cut a bunch of them in half and store them in a takeaway container ready to go. I reckon they put the red dot in the middle of the tablets to put people off just using half, but with a sharp chef's knife you can cut the whole thing in half and cut the red dot neatly in half most of the time. My wife reckons I'm just superstitious thinking the the red dot contains some magical cleaning agent not present in the rest of the tablet, and she's probably right. But I persist… Anyway, the reason I started writing was to say that the quantum ones would be impossible to cut in half.
Gave it a + because it is a bargain price.
But is it a bargain if it is never available?
Is anyone finding this is all ozbargained?
I called in to two different Woolies (in Sydney), one last night and one this morning on my commute.
Both had full stock of tablets, but empty racks where the special should be.
Not surprised, just interested to read the experience of others.
Same here at my local in Bendigo VIC. Plenty of other tablets but the specials were marked as unavailable. Luckily the father in law inquired about no stock and was given a raincheck on 6 boxes of them. Meaning I can go in within 28 days and get them at the special price, no matter what they are then retailing at.
I'd encourage others to try the same
My local Woolworths (Camberwell, VIC) has heaps. The shelves were almost empty, but they had two special stands in other parts of the store with what looked like hundreds of boxes.
25c each for quantum
