    • Auto-range will be a big help. Have a look at the reviews to see whether it meets your needs:

Also, there's the next model up:

At nearly 4-5 times the price!
In the years of using various multimeters I have never wished I had a multiranging one, when I encountered a rare unknown voltage etc. Simple enough to click down a few ranges to find the right one - a second or two.
It's not as if you would use this in the workplace. It's a cheapie to keep in the toolbox or car for occasional use.

        • Hmm my comment looks a bit out of place now that the top-level has been declared as spam. The time when I most desire having auto-range is when trying to determine the values of resistors after tearing down a breadboard configuration.

Probably so. Always an issue when comments have been edited or deleted.

Multiranging have their place when you have a lot of measurements over a wide value range. I've blown up a $6 cheapie - set to resistance range when forgot 230V unit was still live!! But as it was on wrong reading, would still have blown up a multiranging one.

Time to learn the colour codes, if standard resistors ;)
(Mainly need 3rd band to choose range)

        • Agreed that reading the resistors definitely helps. Sure some with lower tolerance or resistance are harder to read, but then hey, so is electronics in general.

  • i cant find where to enter the coupon code??

    • hi add the item to the cart and go to Secure Check.
You can find a box to enter the coupon.

  • Video link of the review of the Multimeter:

Unglaublich! Ich muss jetz haben das!

    • Seems to be a video on testing batteries than a meter review.

    • The YouTube video review is in Dutch, not German !

    Quality is really crap.

    • Can you qualify that statement?
Its only $8 and i have a few of these around the home and vehicles and they are perfectly suitable.
I agree they are not Fluke quality but they dont have a Fluke price either.
      perfect for a hobbiest.

The leads are thin and flimsy and given that this is an important part of the DMM I consider it poorly designed. I have another cheap analogue meter that has very good leads (although I don't really like the stiff selection dial on it). Put better leads and plugs/sockets on it and it would be a good product.

  • And another item i don't really need but have to buy:)

  • nice price…

  • getting the message "this coupon code does not exist"

    • working now.

  • Got one last time - good value unit. Handy addition to my multimeter pile - with hold & backlighting. Only issue I could see is leads are thin, so would be cautious about using with up to 10Amps.

    • and cautious if measuring 24kV out of a TV tripler…….

  • Getting the message "this coupon code does not exist". I note previous problems using the code from other Ozbargainers. Then again, the deal could be over!

    • Found the issue. There's two different coupon codes. The one in the box with the price and expiry date is incorrect. excel0806 is correct.

  • Worked for me thanks :)

  • Thanks OP, just got another one for the shed.
AU$7.95 is a pretty good price and they work fine.
A multimeter is one of the most handy devices you could have in the toolbox.

  • Beware. I ordered one of these last time and three months later I still haven't received it.

    • hi, can you pm me with your order number?
We will refund or reship the product to you.

  • This is a bargain. Just buying a replacement fuse for a multimeter (current ranges) usually costs more than this!

  • How long is shipping for tmart. DX has blown out to a ridiculous 2 months.

    • i have found tmart to have quite fast shipping - usually about 2 weeks.

How do I use the coupon code with Paypal?

    • Use secure checkout. Payment screen defaults to paypal.

  • I get "This coupon code does not exist." error.

    • excel0806

  • All gone.

    • Nope. Works fine with code excel0806

  • What the heck… I bought one from ebay last night! Sad :(

  • Hi, sorry that I make a mistake.
The coupon code is: excel0806 It is still valid.

  • good one, been looking for a multimeter for some time, think will take the plunge! :)

  • Cheaper selecting US$ in currency than default AU$, and then paying with 28 Degrees.

  • code seemed to work, but when I went through the PayPal payment it was going to charge me the full amount…Not Happy, so I pulled the pin.

edit….. tried a second time and all good !

  • Fairly basic multimeter, but still good value at $7. Have never had a problem with Tmart.
    Thanks to OP.

  • Can somebody please advise how to order. I have been to the checkout. Added it to the cart. When I go through secure checkout, I have to sign up. Is there anyway to NOT signup and pay through paypal only. Cannot find where to add code. Thanks

  • OK found it. We have to enter our details then it works fine.

  • "This coupon could only be used 300 times."
