        I would say because there is 'no jailbreak available'.

        One must update to 6.1.3 or 6.1.4 as no other versions are being 'signed' by Apple.

          No, actually. I gave up bothering to jailbreak years ago. I just see nothing at all that is an upgrade to go to iOS6 over 5.1.1.

          The main reason why I didn't upgrade to begin with was Apple maps were beyond shocking (they think my home town is 40km south of where it actually is haha), and since then I've just had no reason to upgrade either my iPad(3) or iPhone 4. When iOS 7 comes out I'll probably update to that as it actually seems like its got some cool features (and the updated interface looks great).

          Yeah I'm still on 5.1.1 on iPhone because it works for me and cos apple maps didn't compare to google maps at launch. I'm wondering if I should now upgrade as i hear apple maps is now good? Does updating affect workability of existing apps that I don't plan to update?
