They're Okay for the price but stop working after some time. Mine has issues with the switch.

I have one of these and the Cree ones and these ones stops working after some time. Better to get the Cree ones as light can be focused and are quite bright with less 1 battery only.
rough comparison, a $3 Cree was brighter than these ones.

    • Totally agree. Even the Cree LEDs in $5 torches are much better. Plenty of deals if you search.

    • True, I was doing ceiling work a few years ago and knowing these things tend to die after awhile I bought about 5 of them. Sure enough, all 5 failed eventually.

I've only ever bought 1 CREE one so far but it's been good. I'd stick with those.

If you think these are good torches, then you've never had a good torch.

I've had the SCA ones for years, light is pretty average but does the job. They fit the flare holder in my car perfectly so that alone makes it worthwhile.

Paid $10 on special from memory so this isn't bad.

  • these cheapies are handy to keep around the house/garage/car for whatever.
    can't live without torches everywhere

  • $2 each at coles

looks and probably performs the same

    • $1 at Coles now. They are clearing out most of their $2 shop items

    • They would be the same. $1, $5, $10, I've seen these priced in all those ranges and they're functionally identical. In typical use, these will fail before the batteries have a chance to go flat.

CREE is the way to go.

  • These are really rubbish….

    • These torches really do suck for the price. My work got a bunch if them
