For the inevitable "is it worth the upgrade" and "how much faster is it" questions:
Gaming performance according to Tom's hardware hierarchy chart:

…and Anandtech bench:

It's a higher-end card, but at this price, the performance-per-dollar is closer to a mid-range card. Nice.
I have the XFX GHz edition of this card. Was very noisy so I installed an after market fan. Beast of a card, though.
there's a 7+ dollars of handling fee, what is that for?
That might be the shipping insurance fee.
I just ordered and was looking at the various payment options.
Paying with credit card incurred a handling fee.
I paid via BPAY.. and there was no handling fee.
yes, forgot to say, I switched to bank transfer to avoid the handling fee as well
Good deal. This previous deal for the Gigabyte card was a better though: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/90941
Yeah although that was over 6 months ago. The aussie dollar value has gone down a little since then.
How about this?

Yeah that is applicable. Although the XFX card fan is noisy. This Powercolor card shouldn't be as noisy.
That's a nice price. The cheapest HD7970 card at PCCG is $429.
Don't forget this sale price will be ending around mid day on 30th July or until sold out.
