  • Ah, doesn't have twin turbo intercooled jetpacks. And it may come damaged because one guy had his delivered by Ace Ventura last week. Oh and wait, 120gb SSD is way to small man. No deal

still no reply from my emails in their previous deal, so was unable to buy. Poor customer service

    • Did you call them?

      • +1

        they told me email only

    • Hi Matt, all the emails we received last Friday were replied by 5:00PM that day. I carefully checked again (also checked junk mail box) and I can confirm we didn't miss one. Did you receive a bonce back email?

      • -1

says its went through on my end and no bounce back. email was sent 25th july at 2:38pm if that helps at all

        • Hi Matt, I checked again, unfortunately we didn't receive your email. Would you please PM me your email address?

        • no worries, also revoked neg since you are sorting this out now

        • I PMed you. Thanks Matt.

    • +3

same, emailed CPL about their previous deal at the time, still no reply.

      • Hi, can you please PM your email address, sent time and email address you sent to? Thank you!

A non K CPU on a Z87 motherboard is a bit of an odd choice tbh.
A H87 would have been fine without a K series, as the potential buyer will be unable to Overclock properly anyway.

  • Hi CPL please check your email

I'm looking at making a few customisation, please get back to me asap.

    • Hi Ivalice, please PM your email address to make sure we received your email. Thanks.

    • Hi lvalice, your email was returned. Please double check.

  • Love the case. Looks awesome! For hardcore gamers you might want to bung in an extra 8GB of RAM.

  • 1 deal per 24 hours
2 deals per 7 days - provided the votes on past deal are not too low. This can be reduced to 1 deal per 7 days if past votes are low.

    • Yeah is it really a bargain if CPL do one of these prebuilt jobs every few days? 10 listings so far this month too

      • +4

It is a bargain is no-one else can do BOM cheaper.

      • Strange, I would have thought as long as it's a deal you can't get elsewhere it wouldn't matter how many times a seller posts an ozbargain for everyone to consider.

However, I guess if I'd "personally" experienced issues with them, rather than just read/heard someone else's, or was somehow involved in a related business that couldn't compete against their pricing, sure I'd have an issue with it.

Personally I'm happy to see any bargain posted and read everyone's opinion on it. Doesn't mean I/we have to buy it.

    • For clarificatoin, please see store rep posting limit.

If the two most recent rep deals made the front page, the limit is increased to 3 deals per week.

Who cares how often the deals are posted as long as the deals are good?

I remember when logitechshop used to post brilliant deals every couple of weeks but then people started complaining that the deals were too often (even though 90% of the things posted by logitechshop were the best price in Australia). Soon after that logitechshop reduced their deals to once in a blue moon.

      • -7

increased to 3 deals per week.

there are 4 posts in the last week, and one had 13 negs…

        • I have replied to your report but I will restate it here. The timestamp for the deal on 22 July is

          22/07/2013 - 13:07

This deal was posted around 13:11 today - just after the week clocked over - the week is a rolling week, not Monday to Sunday etc.

And it is the nett votes that count, not just the negative votes, so negative votes are offset by positive votes.

As this is getting off-topic, if you have further issues please use TWAM.

        • There were 3 deals last week
          22nd, 24th and 25th

Thank Christ JV is not a mod or super user…

        Are you a Christian ?

  • Had a bad experience with cpl. Luckily it was only under $1 for an nfc tag. It was lost during transit, received a damaged letter. They replied that there is nothing they can do to help. Check my forum post for more info.

Anyway I did a paypal dispute and recovered the money. Will never deal with this mob in the future.

    • +1

I am not sure why people negging a user's experience.
Are we becoming more unpredictable here?

    • You seriously didnt lodge a paypal dispute over $1 did you?

      • +1

No it was under a dollar

Liking these weekly systems being posted. Little bit out of my price range for this one though :<

    Hi CPL,

I've sent e-mails regarding the refund for the system which was picked up by Fastway couriers last Friday. Please check your inbox.

    • Hi lucksmith, I've just replied. Please check your inbox. :)

Downgrade the motherboard and remove the OS, then this is a great deal ;)

    • +2

Hi BlazinPast, thank you for your feedback. I will pass it to the management. Thank you!

      • Thanks CPL, you guys really listen to customer feedback.

I wish you come up with a Nvidia 770/780 based monster gaming system and reduce price by less looks and no OS (yet no compromise on performance, of-course!)

      • Well, to expand on it, if you wanted to add another GTX 760 in a years time (when it becomes cheaper) then this motherboard would be very beneficial. So depends on what you want to do with it in the future. It probably is a good thing to have a Z motherboard just in case.

But OS should definitely be optional.

        Thanks for listening ;)

        • A H87 board will take 2 GFX cards, same as a Z87. The primary difference is that the Z87 allows Overclocking, but the CPU included with this rig does not allow Overclocking, hence it being an odd choice as i pointed out above.

        • Ah alright, my bad. I swear I've come across some H77/H87 motherboards that don't support SLI.

        • It can't take 3 though, so that is another difference between Z87 and H87, but the likely hood or someone buying a prebuild 1200 or so machine to expand to 3 is pretty low

  • Argh still pushing a crappy OS with this build….

    Dump the OS…

  • +2

I reckon if they didn't include the OS others would be asking why there isn't one.

If permitted they could post 20 odd system variations with and without an OS, however someone would still have a problem with it, "gee if you put a pink led light on the left back corner I'd definitely buy it".How can you please everyone with limited posts.

However… I'm certain if anyone contacted any supplier you/we could always negotiate Any agreeable alterations.

Contact them and you might be surprised, just don't expect it for nothing or perhaps under cost of DIY.

    • Linoc the issue is that CPL has to pay about $80 for an OEM copy of the OS.

You can buy an upgrade version from Costco for $30 and do a clean install using a workaround…

CPL's cost price for the OS is way above any semi-technical users cost price, therefore bundling the OS is bad if the buyer has some technical knowledge.

For people who need an OS, why don't CPL just make it a ~$100 optional add-on…

Buubox, Sheepy and yourself either don't have the technical know how to install it yourself, or just prefer to have it all installed. Great for you, but you are in the minority and CPL is losing potential sales by forced bundling the OS.

  • just placed order

    • Good luck, hope it goes well for you. I remember you we're trying to get their previous deal, which you missed out on. This one will give you a much better gaming performance.

      • Hey Thanks buddy

ye, I did miss the previous deal. This Rig should last for awhile. Although the case is really the deal breaker for me this time hehe.

Product link doesn't say anything about the Samsung 840. Is it is actually included or not?
