You can try the codes WELCOME10 or COMEBACK10 or BUYME10 which seems to be hit and miss for people for additional 10% off. I have unfortunately never had any luck with these coupons except on the mobile version of the site BUT postage is always calculated much higher on the mobile site than the full version. Some people also mention that it works for them only if they spend $150 or more. If anyone has a definitive answer please advise!

    Also to my post code the upped the price of shipping from about $7.50 to $16 for the skateboard since last time.

      Go to your order history - when you click on the invoice there will be an Australian post tracking Id. When you click on the id you can see where it's at. I had two items lost at Australia post with id. If there is no id then deals direct is at fault and haven't shipped yet for some reason.

      Either way contact their help desk - I've always had a quick turnaround (less than a day) for either replacement or refund

      When I complained about not received my items I ordered over 3 weeks ago they refunded me. One of my products were Raco frying pans that had been on special for $22 something 50 or 60% off. They refused to give me an item of the same value and if I wanted frying pans I was only entitled to the $22 ones or less value instead of something the same quality despite all the homewares apart of the same sale on date of purchase. So if I wanted to replace it with frying pans to the value of $45 when the frying pans were not in the sale this was not allowed. I was only allowed $22. If I wanted cheap low quality I would have bought them already elsewhere. The sale is what prompted me to buy them as they were needed and it was good timing and for a student a great price.

      Both my items were refunded (different orders) after asking to be contacted by a supervisor before being refunded. I was told when I enquired on live chat that my orders have been back ordered and they have no idea when new stock would arrive. My 2nd order was also refunded without discussing with me if I was willing to wait for more stock.

      I made a complaint to ACCC due to that I believe they are selling items in which they have no stock which is misleading. It might seem rash but when they've taken my money and other people's money and likely making a profit from it if they invest it for a few weeks depending on how many people they are doing this to. I mean it's one thing to sell items and be understaffed and trying to send items out but to blatantly sell items that are not in stock and not delivered in reasonable time is what left me more unhappy.

      I had ordered frying pans for my autistic siblings and getting them delivered was easier than travelling to my hometown to buy them something. I thought I was getting a good deal but it was a waste of time and a headache and then having to explain to my siblings as well as the other order which was a gift why the items had not arrived. I know people are going to say get what you pay for but if I had paid full price I doubt the service would have been any better. My third order arrived after 2-3 weeks ordered after the other two aforementioned.

      Poor service all around. Sorry for the long rant but I won't be shopping with them again and I wouldn't hold your breathe on the skateboard any time soon. Upon mentioning what happened to someone they said they know of people ordering items and never having them delivered. If you have ordered anything in the sales at the start of July the odds are you haven't received it and it's been put on back order without contacting you.

        Same day refund is actually pretty good compared to others that would take at least a week.

        So poor service is you couldn't contact someone about your complaint? Or they take days replying to your email?

          Edit to answer your question directly: Poor Service is being told someone would contact me and no message was left after one attempt to contact me nor via email. It also bugged me that they would not give me an item of the same value based on that they were no longer on sale so to them they refused to give me a frying pan to the value of $50 that were on special at the same time. Only $25 item. If I buy an ipad on sale for $200 and it breaks or out of stock and they have gone back up to $350 for example then would I only be entitled to an item worth $200 at the time of the incident. No one told me my items weren't in stock and could not tell me when they were coming back either. I've had no sleep all night so apologise if there's repeat parts.

          Tried online chat, it failed or timed out so I sent an email - No reply.
          They did attempt to call me after I contacted Live chat again to be told about the back orders. Spent a great time talking to them which got no where.
          They did attempt to contact me by phone once and then cancelled both orders without discussing the second with me as I was trying to sort out the first one first.
          The conversation is quite long but here is some of the contents. [Names removed]

          18:42 Me : I also contacted chat and it timed out on the 19th and no reply to my email
          18:43 Me: I have another order on the 6th that also has not arrived
          18:43 DealsDirect: Upon checking, your item shows it is in back order.
          18:43 Me: back order means? (confirming understanding)
          18:43 DealsDirect: It means it is currently out of stock but will come in in few days.
          18:44 Me: Okay but it was in stock when I ordered
          18:44 DealsDirect: Are you willing to wait for it?
          18:44 Me: additionally we've been waiting weeks for this and no email or anything was sent about the back order
          18:44 Me: Shocking service
          18:44 DealsDirect: Yes it is.

          18:47 DealsDirect: I'm sorry. I suggest you have it refunded as we don't have an exact date of when will this come in.

          In this part bare in mind they have accessed my other order and account.

          Here's the part about the item being replace.

          19:20 Me: Yes but that was when it was 50 or 60% off
          19:21 Me: so the actual price is normally $50
          19:21 Me : and I chose that over the 4 ingredient item

          19:21 DealsDirect: I'm sorry we can only replace item with the same bid price. (note: This was discussed a few times and they were firm that I could only get another item to the value of what I spent not the same quality regardless that all the items in that category were apart of the sale and I would be getting a lesser quality item. When I tried to explain the point I was told that's what refunds are for).

          I asked a supervisor to contact me which I was told would happen. Refunded without talking to me. Attempt was made to my phone with no message left and it was a single attempt[I looked up the missed call number] no attempt to contact me via email was made beforehand despite being told someone would discuss it with me.

          Then my 2nd order was refunded which I had not tried to sort out as much as the first one. Same email as above.

          Sorry again for the long post but that sums up my experience with them. About 3 weeks to deliver 1 item, and 2 not delivered with no contact regarding the situation until I chased it up.

          By all means shop with them if the deal is great value but honestly for me it's not worth all the chasing up. If they had mentioned they were out of stock instead of just putting them on back order then I wouldn't have been so annoyed. This is just my experience with them.

          Post your 1st call hey found they couldnt supply the item so they refunded you - quickly, and e-mailed you telling you that. Seems pretty good service to me. I have been disappointed by them before (unwilling to give an extra day on BPay so I could get home from holidays and pay) but they did call back and were just following policy - fair is fair. Sadly stock management systems are rarely perfect or real time, and bargain stores in particular do not know (especially at customer service level) what will be coming into stock in future - that is the nature of how they trade.
          You have got everything you are entitled to legally, along with extremely fast service, they did attempt to call you despite it being redundant - honestly I am kind of glad you are not my customer, to be brutally frank.
          Also - what does the recipient's disability have to do with the merchant from where you buy their gifts (unless you are buying specialty equipment naturally)? This sort of thing happens online all too frequently, perhaps you should avoid getting their hopes up until the items are safe in your hands having survived the postal system too?

        Ordered an iPhone kensington battery pack in the May sales..
        Waited for a month, never arrived.. Called them, they said its out of stock and they wont be getting them ordered again (was still showing in stock that day 4 weeks later)
        I said to the to replace it with a equivalent product, they said to pay $35 more for a similar product. So I said to refund me, Refunded a week later!
        Then the same pack shows on ozbargain amongst the deals pre tax time! Ordered it again, even cheaper now, never got sent, .. Called again, on back order but they will not be getting stock, got them to bring up my history, they said they ended up getting more stock from the supplier but they will not ever be getting stock again (again)… 6 days later, refunded my paypal account.
        Not all bad though, i'm happy with my $1.95 2Pack of towels that did arrive… I use them to dry the dogs!

      • I think its a hit and miss with these guys. 90% of the time they are great. Super fast delivery and well packaged. Its the 10% of the time they are total douche bags.

        Of the 10 orders i made, one didnt arrive. I sent them 6 emails all came with the same reply of "we will get back to u asap"

        Went to live chat and the item was out of stock but they failed to tell me even 3 weeks after my order not to mention i was the one who had to chase it up.

        They did refund me though

  • Don't bother with slushie maker, bought same unit from BigW, doesn't work. Keeps getting jammed on ice, if smaller ice used it doesn't slushify properly.

    I have brought about 5 items lately all separate orders, and all arrived. pretty quick and with tracking.
    however a friend ordered about 10 items, got 1 and the rest cancelled, she had to follow up with them, and they said the same thing, out of stock, refund, store credit or wait.

    I purchased an Aracnafaria table from them. It arrived damaged, possibly from the postman, or maybe packed that way, who knows.

    Contacted their online support, and they sent out another one free of charge. No need to return the original.

    Great service from them, wouldn't hesitate to purchase again, although I know others have had bad experiences. Just thought I'd give props where props are due. My problem is now I have two of the damned things, fixed the broken one, and nowhere to put it.

      • I'm using the one as my coffee table. If I had space for it, I'd take off the glass of each of them, and have one large rectangular piece of glass, with both tables acting like legs on each side. Alas, my unit is too small for that to happen.

        Looking at the Anne Stokes shop, this table at $40 shipped was an absolute bargain compared to 360 pounds on that shop.
