Fii0 E17 DAC/Amp US $114.50 Free Shipping

130

Pretty universally $140 plus shipping (a bit cheaper at bookstores), doesn't go on special often.

Amplifier for high end headphones, as well as a better quality dac for your computer. (Acts like a sound card).

Good reviews on head fi.

I ended up going an Asus Xonar DG soundcard instead because I'm cheap, because my a900x don't need a meaty amp, and I'm not convinced music amps are worth the extra cash for gaming.

I can't comment on the price but have the E17. Nice bit of kit.

Ditto, its a damn good piece of hardware…people do look at you like a terrorist when you hook it up to ipod or phone when on a plane though…in their defence it does kinda look "bomby"

So yeah, decent price if you're happy to wait.

    • Same price from Noisy Motel in Melbourne as well but it also includes a free 'FiiO L9 LOD Line Out Dock Cable' to connect your e17 to a iphone/ipad (normally an extra $19).

They have insanely good service and super fast deliveries (1-2 days to Sydney) from my previous experience with them.

    • I bought from these guys 2 months ago. Very happy with the item, though the battery drains fairly quickly in my experience.

I bought this around 9 months ago for A$130, and it hasn't failed to impressed me all this time. Has worked solidly, even provided suitable amplification for my HD650s and Mad Dogs (makes them louder and sound better).

The boost to loudness is necessary as several medium to high end headphones practically can't be heard without an amplifier. The boost to sound quality is about on par with an E11 (worth around $40-50). The extra $$$ forked out for this is for a quality DAC.

Battery still works fine after 9 months solid use - but keep in mind if you don't use them for a week or two and leave them lying around the battery power will leak away and you will have to charge them again before using.

  • would this go best with a sennheiser hd25-1ii adidas ?

    • Don't know about "best" but it should work very well.

  • Would sound quality be much benefited over X0.25 of that price > Griffin imic ?
Has proved itself by performance ~ 1decade so far & still going. hd595;px200.

  • Deal expired - missed out :(

    • We'll have to wait for the next one!
