  They say Ainol moved to quad-core CPUs (for obvious marketability reasons), but to keep the price down they went for a lesser GPU, the Vivante GC1000. Now I dont know how bad this GPU actually is, someone else can do the legwork on that one!

    Apparently the Hero 2 scores 12442 at Antutu Bench, according to a WP merchant rep comment. However, Antutu benches don't reveal much about real world performance so take it with a grain of salt.

      CPU itself is already (quad core Cortex A9 implementation). Problem is with Vivante GC1000 which don't get much support from games. These days you need to go with either Qualcomm/Adreno, PowerVR, NVidia/TEGRA or ARM's Mali for better compatibility.

  i have the hero 2. few niggling issues e.g. wifi dropouts but i found paranoid android rom (slatedroid) to be te most stable. i am using it as a torrent downloader and dlna streamer
