They are OK units but the caps they use are poor, I find I am needing to use two caps of the number 11 ones just so I can taste the coffee.

So you neg the deal because of this?
Really pointless and baseless neg
Unless you can find cheaper than $49 as of today or the machine is not safe to use .
Sounds like there is something with the product so its valid. Thank you for the warning sbphotography.
I will not post and share this deal with my fellow ozbargainers it is machine is crap one as others are saying.
I have one for over a year and never let me down.
Perfect coffee every time.
Of course I uses original map coffee capsules not the cheaper ones.
Highly recommended Almost zero maintenance over a year was reflection of high build quality.
For under $50 you won't find a better machine out there.
Anyhow I don't earn (or lose )any money from TGG or Mr Scotty if you go out and buy one or not.
Have a good day all
Had mine easily over a year and had no problems, I use woolworths capsules, and overseas caffitaly capsules such as bewleys. Use it regularly with no problems.
It's not a pointless neg, the machine adds too much water to the drink, the hot choc taste like water with a hit of coco and that is using the MAP pods, the machine it self takes far too long to cool down after throthing milk and makes a loud banging sound while making the drink.
Did you try the other caffitaly capsules? Gloria jeans or woolies branded ones?
I have a Map coffee machine, and have been quite happy with it, it's very easy to use. I have tried Map, Gloria Jeans, woolies, and Bewleys (ozbargain deal), they all work in caffitaly machines like Map. The best were the Map, but the Gloria Jeans weren't bad. I'd avoid the woolies ones though as they were unpalatable. I wouldn't bother with Bewleys again unless they were super cheap.
The only thing wrong with a Map machine is that it is hard to get cheaper capsules. There are caffitaly ones on ebay from overseas, but I haven't tried them. I've never seen the Map ones discounted. Having said that, it still makes a nice cup and I'm glad to have it.
I have seen the map capsules at $6 a box last xmas at HN! But I regularly get them from OW (free shipping over $50).
The choc is terrible, but green, red and black are perfect!
I have a moral objection to buying Gloria jeans but the caramel latte is reasonable.
They've been $39 at Harvey Norman since Dec 2012
Please research before comment. Thank you

Picked up one of these in an Officeworks clearance a couple of years back and it's still going strong. Not the best machine out there, but at $49, they're OK.
So so so crap… Bought one = faulty got replaced second one = faulty took it back got my money back, spend a little more on something better…
