Not a bad deal considering about the screen size (not the one with 11" runs Celeron costs around 320$), and the CPU is Corei3. Very decent for office use as well as portable convenience

You CAN upgrade the HDD, it takes a 7mm 2.5", I have had this lappy for 3 months and installed an SSD very easily, for directions watch a youtube vid of its 14" brother (S400CA).
The screen on this is a lot better than the 14" S400CA, I had one but sold it after two weeks to get this 13".
I think JB is the only seller of this model, I paid $598 during their 30% off sale.
Happy to be corrected there… I was basing my information off of a quick google. IMO SSD's should be standard now. I would never consider a laptop without. No CPU can make up for the speed gains from an SSD vs. HDD.

Hows that?
Edit: looks like free shipping at DSE too
sorry :( didn't realise
EDIT: There is also a nice review here
15" screened laptops are generally cheaper.
This is not a particularly cheap price on an i3, even with a touchscreen. Certainly not one with these other specs.
I'm sure this doesn't reflect all Asus laptops, but I have a Asus K52F, with I5 M450, 2.4GHz, 4GB memory, Win7 pro 64bit at work and it sucks! Constantly accessing the hard disk, slow and will not boot with HDMI plugged in!
With more and more Haswell laptops showing up, i see no reason getting ivy bridge anymore. :)
Hmm.. not a horrible deal, but 4gb of soldered ram (non upgradeable) and the hdd is non-remoable so no ssd.. plus a bit heavy for something only 21mm thick at 1.8kg.
