wonder how good the quality of the tripod will be at such a cheap rate
I've had a few of these, the are no where near as good as the original joby models. But you could easily buy 4 and not care when they break/get lost and still be ahead.
Compared to balancing your expensive camera on some uneven/wet/dirty surface, these things are a must.

ive got one but the screw is slightly too small for my dslr. anyone know if there is some think of adapter to make it bigger? or make the slot smaller in the camera? i've seen adapters with a bubble level built in. wonder if those can 'step down' the screw size..

Good price, but "The item can support max 275g" means it's a no-go for any SLR camera.
The CamerasDirect "50% off cameras direct gear when 2 is purchased" deal was good for getting one that supports DSLRs.
I picked up a spare air blower and a flexi tripod that supports DSLRs for about $10. Can never have too many of these when one has got half a dozen DSLR bags for different purposes.
Just to warn: these aren't great. They'll do for a point and shoot or a light DSLR with a small prime lens, but any more and…bye bye camera.
