Get $50 off the cost of contact lenses when you spend $100 or more at specsavers.com.au

I tested it out with 3 boxes of Acuvue Moist + 1 box of Acuvue Oasys = $100 which originally qualified me for free shipping. When I put in the promo code it negated free shipping but brought it down to $50 subtotal.

So altogether for 3 x Acuvue Moist + 1 x Acuvue Oasys = $60 including shipping

$15 a box is really cheap!

It's part of their birthday celebrations apparently.

Updated with expiry date (Sunday midnight) thanks to Jack

  • Time to stock up

I hope they sell 90 pack disposables

    • I am thinking of getting contacts, the daily disposable ones.

What is the cost per month for a good brand? And how much per day?

Is buying online a big saving?

      Thanks

  • I just ordered too but you can't get free shipping if you choose $50 off

  • I got free shipping when I spent over $150

    • +2

It would work out cheaper to do two orders as your saving $40 per $100 order.

      • Didn't think of that!

I always assume that these coupons only work once.

        • How do you save by doing 2 orders with $150 of total spend and save $40 per $100 order?

        • +1

Because you spend more to save more.

i.e. if you spend $150, you save $50 because of free delivery, but if you spend 2 shops of $100 each, you save $80 after delivery costs.

    • Do they offer a click-and-collect type option, to save on the shipping?

      • I assume not but someone else might know for sure.

      • I think the rep in the previous thread said no.

My guess is that specsavers is operated as indpeendent franchises, so the retail stores wouldn't get any commission from online store sales, so they wouldn't support it.

        • the stores actually do support the online sales, as we do the prescriptions and what not.
you cant click and collect, instore prices are more expensive, so online is better if you can do it.

  • +1

Checkout doesnt seem to be working

    • Have had issues before too

  • When does offer end please? Had a script but need another appointment as wasn't quite right last time! Then keep to order some! :D

Assuming just submit receipt to health fund for reimbursement like normal when ordering online versus in store?

  • Hi All - offer is for 1 week only at this stage. Hope that helps. (Rep)

Free Shipping can be obtained once basket total is over $99 after discount.
    Thanks

    • Great thanks very much. Will organise a fitting etc.

If only NIB had a no gap optical deal, oh well guess $9 for a 4 month supply is acceptable :p

    • Hey Jack is that the 12th July or the 15th July then? I thought I saw you put the 12th July as the expiry date in that duplicate post.

  • Hi SJVG - that was me playing safe in case it doesn't carry over the weekend. In all likelihood - it would end Midnight Sunday. All the best Jack Hawks

  • Just ordered, good deal.

  • Good deal.
Quick question, how to claim Private Health fund if buying online? Never done this before.

    • AFAIK you get a receipt that includes a provider number, which you then use to make a claim through your Private Health Insurer. Just means you have to pay up front (which I tend to prefer anyway, since you get the points on your credit card :-P)

      • Thanks for your reply zzyss.

  • I don't seem to be getting the $50 off, only free shipping.

    • +2

have you entered the code BIRTHDAY or spending $100 or more?

      • +1

Thanks you. How did I miss that???

  • Too bad they don't have B&L Purevision 2… (although they have the first iteration in stock, mk2 is much thinner = less irritation, less drying out)

  • Thanks!!!!

  • Can someone help me and advise how I would maximize my insurance claim if i put in two separate orders for the Acuvue Oasys of $105 per order after all discounts (ie total of ten packs for $210). Normally I buy a year's supply of eight packs at $30 each pack and make a claim based on the price of two packs for every three months from which I can get $50 off the price of the two packs ie gap is $40 total ($10 for every three months). Thanks so much in advance.

  • I tried it numerous times tonight and I couldn't checkout, kept redirecting me to the contact lens main page. Specsavers may have missed out on a new customer
