To be fair to Moots, if you look beyond there fancy stores and shiny products Apple is a pretty shitty company.
To be fair to Apple, they are not the only technology company that has made mistakes in this area. But they are one of the few to address this. Emirates, BA and Qantas just recently found that earphones they buy have been manufactured in Chinese prisons. All to their credit are now stopping those purchases just like Apple. And the same factories that made Apple gear make HP, Sony, Samsung, and your Xboxes…
Plus Moots posts deals that also have so called dubious ethical records.
Plus how many cheap products promoted here on this site are made by child labour. Singling out one company based on limited information and in Apples case started by a man discredited for his information is way off beam, and I would guess many have indicated that thru the votes.
So to be fair to those voting his post down - is the right forum to discuss these? I would think not.

Would apple earpods be considered good among the non in-ear earphones? Considering this..
They are better than the old Apple ones, and that's about it. Seriously, these seem OK to me, for the price.
I was generally indifferent about the old Apple ones but really like the earpods.
I ended up using them instead of my Sennheiser noise cancelling headphones because they were less effort to live with (they are very different products, but now the earpods are 'good enough').
Got them at OW pricematched to $16.15 - that is an awesome price for these headphones.
For me they are among the best non-in-ear-headphones (because they fit my ears just perfectly and the sound is pretty decent for the price).Thanks alot for the post "K", got these yesterday from OW with price match $16.15.
They sound good, but they keep falling out of my ears, I have small ears, not fault of the earpods.
