  • Official Samsung Warranty or your own?

    • Hi,it's store warranty offered by our service centre in Sydney CBD.

  • -4

do you just copy and paste the title each time you post? :)

    • +1

Suggest a clearer title and I'll fix it.

  • I assume there will be no Gst on your tax invoice?

    • +1

I'd assume there'd be GST inclusive TAX INVOICE. How would you have a shop in Sydney CBD and not turn over enough to be registered for GST?

  • 2 Years Local support & Store's Warranty(Service Centre in Sydney CBD)

Do you organise and pay for the pickup and return of the device when there is a fault?

    • or at least can we drop off and then you pay return postage?

      • ^ Thanks for posting strangeloops66.

Hey rep, you do realise that your business is breaching ACL Consumer Guarantee law with the above warranty statement?

        • Hi,can you point out which terms/statements are inappropriate so we can seek legal advice for revision? We are happy to make improvement in any cases. Thanks

        • Sorry, didn't see your post until just now…

          http://www.accc.gov.au/business/treating-customers-fairly/wa…

          Mandatory text

In addition to the requirements above, a document evidencing a warranty against defects must include mandatory text to ensure consumers are aware that any warranty against defects operates in addition to consumers’ rights under the ACL. This mandatory text is:

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

  • so surprised this last so long, i guess s4 is really have slow selling as per news months ago.
or probably people now dont want to spend over $500 for a phone (with exceptions of those apple fans who queue up for 2 days to pay $999)

    • I wouldn't queue up on anything unless it's a free phone. Paying $999, that's insane!

    • +2

It's because it's not a bargain, all mobile phones naturally decline in price over time, this is just trying to pass off a normal price reduction as a great deal.

  • I doubt about the warranty. It's strange to be covered by own service centre not official. What if the "service centre" disappears in half year? I assume this "service centre" is more like a personal workshop or a joint workshop.

Just check the website and it was registed 2 weeks ago.

    • you must be new. this is common practice by grey importer ie kogan dwi eglobal etc.
the warranty is with samsung HK therefore we need to send to them first they will send back to HK.
yes i know you will say crap but thats where we can save $200 compare to local stocks.

are you sure? i thought i saw exponlineshop in ozb longer than 2weeks.

      • +1

The data won't tell lies. Search whois on Google, and type the web address it will tell you this. Anyway, I guess you know this already.

I know how kogan dwi eglobal work. At least they tell the customer this is the HK stock, will sent back HK balabala…rather than "self-service service".

I doubt because I had very bad experience. The genius part was replaced to counterfeit and when I took it to official customer service and they refused to replace it.

Also, on eBay, there are heaps of genius parts for sale, such as brand new iPhone battery, screen for sale. In theory, it's very hard to get genius parts. I'm not saying you will do it, but let me feel unsafe.

Yes, it's $200 cheaper. However, if you have the same experience like me, it's make me so sick and not really $200 can fix this.

        • points taken. ok will stick with much bigger importer then.
i bought couple items from dwi and happy.

        • dwi is good, and kogan is fine, I purchased mutiple items from both.

    • +1

Their .com.au domain is registered to cancelled ABN.

Good luck with their "service centre".

  • You can buy this cheaper at OW ($587.10 + 2 years Samsung Warranty) if you're willing to get OW to price match few other competitors.
