Free New Release DVD Rental from Video Ezy with purchase of Continental Side Dishes

150

Simply present your empty packet at a participating Video Ezy store to get your FREE New Release Movie Rental with any Continental Side Dish. Is similar to this deal but is now a free new release rather than a free weekly rental. These Continental side dishes sell for about $2 in coles and woolworths (often on special). From reading the T+C's, not sure if the packets are marked or not, so you might need to print out the details from the Continental site before taking your empty packets to Video Ezy.

  • "Offer valid at all participating VIDEO Ezy stores in Australia from 16th February to 2nd April 2009. Offer also applies to packs marked with ‘Free Weekly Movie Rental.’ LIMIT ONE per member per day. Not valid in conjunction with any other offer. Standard Video Ezy membership conditions apply"

I have one of those weekly movie rental stickers in my cupboard. :)

  • I've tried this offer in January too when they were running it on a small trial scale. It works!! Just cut out the token from the packet… or do what I did and put it into a bowl and then cook/eat it with my movie :)

  • Hi, would someone be kind enough to confirm what the details of a valid token are? I went to Woolworths and bought a packet of Continental side dish but didn't double check the details. The token on the front of the packet said "Free Video Ezy Weekly Movie Rental NC913891" - I thought it was odd that it didn't say Free New Release which was what I recalled the offer to be (per Ozbargain). I only realised later that the token showed a offer expiry date of 16th February. Returning to the supermarket shelves, I didn't see any packets marked with a token which said "Free New Release". Is this because the store was still selling older stock? The Video Ezy attendant said that if the token said the offer expired on the 16th Feb, it was not acceptable but she offered to try scanning the code in… Thank you in advance.

  • Yeah it must be old stock. The weekly movie offer expired on 16 Feb and this one commenced 16 Feb.

  • +2

From the website above as noted, this also applies to packs marked with FREE WEEKLY MOVIE RENTAL. so best if you printout the page and show it to the Video EZY attendant.

    • Ahhh too true zack. Good one!

    • Ah good work - I saw the packs marked with the Free Weekly up here, so didn't bother getting one - might have to go back and try one.

  • Can anyone confirm this offer relates to any packet - rather than just a properly marked pack.

I have some packets for a "free weekly movie" which has expired, and I am thinking this is fine to use.

I guess its because there are so many old stock packs out there on sale in the stores, and people are buying them with an expired deal (before they check the date)

edit - answered my own question lol:

To take up the offer, simply purchase any pack of Continental Side Dish from a participating outlet during the Promotional Period. Take the empty pack to any participating Video Ezy outlet during the Promotional Period, to receive one (1) free rental of a New Release DVD movie valued at up to $7.50, depending upon location. The whole original empty pack must be surrendered to the Video Ezy outlet when redeeming offer. Offer excludes games. Specially marked packs from a Continental Side Dish offer conducted prior to the Promotional Period will be accepted, subject to the purchase being made during the above Promotional Period. For the sake of clarity, claimants will only be eligible to receive this offer (i.e. the free rental of a new release DVD movie), and will not receive the expired previous offer (i.e. the free rental of a weekly DVD movie) as advertised on the specially marked packs.

  • Thanks for the comments - appreciated.

  • Had real problems with my local video Ezy with this

take in the printouts - or they will turn you away!
