That is a ridiculous price to pay for those specs, considering Acer and Dell are offering 15.6" Core Duos with the same RAM and HDD's for under $1000 dollars.
It's a tablet PC. ie touchscreen. And its a 12" ultraportable. Have a look at some of the high end sony ultraportables and you will see that they are far from $1000 budget laptops.
