In the case of GPS units they mostly use the same parts. To compare it to a Rolex in your theory it would be like buying a Rolex without a Rolex label on it. And when the item is not a fashion statement like a Rolex it does not matter if it says Rolex (Garmin) on the front or not. Give me the cheaper GPS any day and the extra savings in my pocket.
There was a real bargain on GPS units at a Aldi store not long ago in vic. $109 for a 4.3inch GPS. That is $9 more than the pathetic "$100 bonus" in this "deal" and it came with a car charger and car mount.
Well if you're happy with a cheapo GPS unit then suit yourself. Some of us prefer better quality units with better features and don't want to compromise.
If you've got nothing constructive to say then don't bother saying anything at all.
As for this deal, it is good value for genuine accessories. Too bad it doesn't include the Nuvi 765.
You are fooling yourself if you think your expensive GPS has more features.
Garmin Nuvi's are overpriced and so it there $100 accessory pack. Get a cheap GPS with all the extra's included for less than 1/2 the price.
