I know that whenever I'm angry I find that continuing to breath can really help. Whenever I stop breathing that's when problems start.

  • My diaphragm is the best trained muscle in my body. The most I ever hiccup is four times but I usually only do once or twice. The one advantage of my parents forcing me to play flute for 12 years.

Impossible to know if your course is any good or if you'll get the same thing out of youtubing it:

Of course breathing is easy, it's holding your breath (for any length of time) that's hard. :)

Now, if you had a course in circular breathing…

  • Quite right, there are many videos out there. If people are wondering whether this course is for them, click the link and watch the free preview. I've seen much of what's online and wasn't satisfied, but that's just one opinion.

It's always hard to decide whether to buy something like this. If you'd like to get a better sense of my work, consider visiting my clinic site at www.changeways.com or my blog at www.psychologysalon.com.

  • I'm willing to give it a go for $5. Breathing techniques are proven to work for stress management.

you need lessons to breathe ????

  • I took my first breath at birth and has not stopped since. It is so natural. I use more of my diaphramatic breathing when there is a need and in time of stress. It is all automated funny enough.

  • Exactly right. But when under stress do you get a sensation of chest tightness that is non-cardiac-related? Do you find yourself gasping a bit? Do you get tingling sensations in your fingertips? Do you find it difficult at times to bring yourself back to equilibrium, or to a focus on the present? That's what this course is for.

    • A few sessions on a treadmill may work better for those symptoms or are you trying to say in a nicer indirect way that this is aimed at people with anxiety?
