    3 pages = full website?

    • -3

      Hi LoungeLizard.

Three pages, a domain name, and web hosting, is a full website, yes. What would you call it?

That gets the client a customised website template, home page, products/services page, and contact page.

Sure, people might want to expand that to four or five (or more), which we can do a quote for if they contact us.

        A joke.

    • +2

3 pages is a brochure website. Home page, info page, contact page.

A full site would be more around the 5+ page mark

        no you dont!

Hosting is very expensive. A freelancer might charge $120 for that and then you can host for free on an Aussie host.

    EDIT: +$7 to 14/year for a domain

    • Hi Machej.

The hosting is on the business plan at www.serversinseconds.com.au, with 100GB of disk space, unlimited transfer, and 99.95% uptime SLA.

I'm not sure where else you'd get those specs in Australia for $19.

Of course you could host somewhere else, or use the $4 per month Starter AU plan, after the initial three months.

I think that downvote is a bit harsh considering, but each to their own, this deal isn't for everyone.

Why on earth would anyone need 100GB for 3 pages???

Also I daresay hosting a static site on the AWS cloud would be cheaper, faster and more reliable.

        • Hi again Stewy.

They likely wouldn't for three pages, but the business plan allows for optional extras like SSL support.

As I wrote, clients are free to downgrade to a Starter AU plan from www.ServersINseconds.com.au, or another host.

They can even completely supply another hosting account from the beginning if they wish.

They get three months, free, if they want it.

Their free plan, if you need more space you can always use a free US host with cloudflare or something. A 3 page site will struggle to use 100 GB unless the website has some blueray movie giveaways. Consider reducing some of the excessive features and charging $150 for the first 6 months and then it would sound better.

The pages are an abomination. Even myself with no professional experience, I could find a template and make a better website….

      • Hi Stewy.

In that case the template and exact specifications were being followed from the client, and I agree it suffered for it compared with what we can do.

The client is free to choose from a variety of template designs, and customise from there.

  • Probably make it six pages.

    • Hi doctorwatson.

I'll take your feedback on board, and we'll consider expanding the amount of pages included in the future, but for this $229 bargain it is just the three.

Why not host your business website on Facebook? For free.

    • +3

Probably the worst business decision you'd ever make… I struggle to take a company seriously if their domain is redirected to a Facebook page and certainly wouldn't buy from them.

      • I can't see the harm if you're going to host your full website with Facebook (ie. 3 pages)

        • Maybe you should look over the link, you get one page not 3.

        • -1

I was comparing it to the deal on this page.
Why do I have to explain my jokes to everyone?*
          (*that's also a joke)

        • It wasn't a very good joke…

    • Facebook is a supplement to a businesses e-front, but definitely not the main go to point.

, this is an example on how it should all come together

      Facebook -> website <- twitter

Honestly your website looks unprofessional to me. I have 1 year web hosting plan with hostgator, got theme from themeforest, 2 years domain name .com.au and all of them were cost less than $200. It is phenomenon.

    • Hi cminez.

The key there is you built it yourself. Not everybody is an IT professional, and happy editing code, or even moving things around in a WYSIWYG editor.

I have to explain to people what web hosting is.

You're more advanced with computers than you're giving yourself credit for.

Your site has really bad SEO. I do not recommend this guy to work out your website. You will spend money for nothing.

Broken links on home page… hmm..

    • +3

That is a sure indicator as to the quality of the service you may receive.

hmm…. the links at the bottom dont take you to any other page and you get stuck on "about" page

EDIT: Cant seem to find ABN/ACN either

    • Hi YNOTU.

Thanks for picking that up. I'll get our developers to look at it tomorrow.

Or you can just use SquareSpace.

Something like $120 per year, full responsive design and an awesome CMS.

  • Seems overpriced to me

  • +3

I like the name "BisKit" better than "WebTex" (http://www.webtex.com.au/images/template_preview.png)

  • +3

Probably seems expensive to most ozbargainers, but for a website hosted and (supposedly) built locally I think it's a pretty good price. You'd struggle to find a web designer to give you a customised web site (even if it's only 3 pages) for $229. Perth web developers charge over a grand for sites like these sometimes.

    • +1

Agreed, Where I work, its $1500 minimum, But that is a graphic designer concept, web developer to program and then responsive on mobile devices and fully customisable.

And with website design, I think there are two customers. Ones that will spend as little as possible and then expect to design the next facebook. And ones that see $1500+ reasonable and work on making a site that they then see they own and want to maintain. Not just have it left on the internet and think it will work for itself.

    • I should start my own business and gain a lot for 3 pages website. haha

  • An 8% discount is hardly a bargain. Best to use weebly or squarespace.

  • -2

I make the website on my computer, video me clicking between the pages, then upload it to Youtube. Hey presto, free hosting.

  • +1

The fact that some of your sites have sounds on them makes me say no.

    • +1

My exact same thoughts. Automatic sounds on a webpage (unless its say a music festival, etc) are the quickest thing to make me hit the X button and go elsewhere.

  • +1

I hate companies like this. It devalues the rest of the community for web design.

    • Not as much as some of the responses do.
