  I recall someone saying a past version of these mixers could only be used for a few min at a time or it would go into a thermal shutdown.

Might just be easier to leave it until the catalogue is available online. Fter all THIS Saturday's sale hasn't started yet. let alone the week following.

Having said that, the stand mixer works quite well. Good value for the price. I've had mine for about 3 years now, and from memory I paid around $5 more than this.
