Yes, also consider the 40" Sammy 5 series at around $1400 (but I would take the V4000 for $100 more).
i think they mean blu-ray ready, i doubt that it either comes with a external or built in player.
I thought this was too good to be true, so rang the BigW consumer line (1800 251 311) and was told by Ian that (direct quote) "whether we are right in doing this or not, out intention is to indicate that if you connect this to a Blu-Ray player you will get a high definition picture."
So looks like no Blu-Ray player or disc, just a good (not great) price for a 40" full-HD LCD.
Sounds like they will include a Blu-ray disc, but the title is also making it very confusing. $1297 is ok but a Bravia V4000 wasn't the far off at $1498 in earlier post.
