Hose clips look interesting except for being plated.

    • why is plated bad?

      • This is a good deal. I brought one before from a rubber shop cost $4.99. what a rip off.

It's really about personal preference, I prefer stainless for hose clamps.
I also like titanium for other stuff :) but that's not really a OzB topic.

Can this grinder grind plastic optical lens?

No idea about your question, but the dremel type tool I purchased from them had absolutely terrible attachments, they went flying apart after seconds of use. May be relevant if you're going to be using the flexible attachment as that's also what came with it.

      • Thanks for sharing your own experience on the same brand products from Aldi. I won't be buying that.

you'd probably want to use sandpaper. i used sandpaper to file glass down, so i'm guessing it's the same thing. just use fine grit stuff eg 160. i purchased an attachment for my drill for about $5. it's just a cylinder with sandpaper attached to it

Nice effort, thanks. Will grab a few of those for work. Silicone tubes are half the price of the cheapest Bunnings ones.

  • How cool is that mini-grinder! Now, what to use it for, hmmm…..

  • I wish there was a Aldi here.
